Feral is a mess and needs solutions (pvp)

I know im being goofy right about now, but im a lil fed up with the way things are this pvp season so i will allow myself to blow some steam by presenting some changes I would like to see in Feral for the future:

Starting from stealth. Rake from Stealth is buggie,meaing putting Rake and stealth into one macro will result in failure at times, so what purpose did removing Pounce served when you still need 2 seperate buttons for stealth and for rake ?
Just bring Pounce back. Dont act like you know how to code without ChatGpt.

Restealthing- Being locked into playing Night Elf because Feral has no restealth feels tiresome. We need a restealth ability similar to Vanish.
I mean every stealth class has a restealth even hunter can drop combat.

Having just a single opener from stealth in 2025 is a lil goofy. Just throwing this out there. (Rake stun).
For example Sub rogues when they open with Shadowblade from stealth they get ported behind the target.
But for some reason we got just Rake doing a stun, and Shred doing silly damage and require ridiculous amounts of energy.

Typhoon & Ursol Vortex’s DR sharing is absurd in a meta where you can be tossed up and down, left and right and be pinned to a wall via Ring of Piss by a monk back to back.
Neither Typhoon nor Ursols Vortex is too strong and they should simply work together, without DR preventing use , period.

If current meta is to stay, Feral really needs an immunity or
Survival Instincts should proc automatically at 35% hp to serve both the fantasy and the insane meta rn.
Or automatic bear form at 35% … idk mahn it feels bad playing currently ngl.

Players get access to new abilities which allow them to slow ferals without the feral to be able to remove said slows despite tooltip of shapeshifting saying otherwise and at the same time everyone suddenly is crazy mobile, like ret pala is kyting me rn… so
If current mobility meta is to stay Feral really needs a second charge of Feral Charge,with increased its Cd to 30 or Leader of the Pack baseline.
Speaking of which, Feral Charge shouldnt require a /cancelfrom macro to operate on a friendly target. And it should be doable in any form.
Crazy concept i know.

Dash shouldnt have a GCD, so does Stampeding Roar or they should simply remove slow/root effects on use just to simplify the complexity of pressing /cacelaura before each of them.
Feral is hard to play already, anyway.

Heart Of The Wild is nerfed so its Cd should go down to 3 mins.

Fluid Form should work for all Cat Form abilities except for Bite and Rip. Its buggy anyway.

Decurse should be baseline.

Removal of Swiftmend should automatically mean massive healing buffs to Regrowth. 300k is absurd healing. Especially when Dampening affects not just healers.
Bear Form healing shouldnt require energy/rage, and should be usable in Cat form, baseline.
Like Bear form armor and healing is nerfed anyway, plus anyone can bypass the armor for the most part.

If Thorns is gonna be so limited, it should be either buffed or baseline. I mean not only it does bad damage as it did but now u cant put it on others, and ITS STILL DISPELLABLE?

Well- honned insticts shouldnt remove itself when u swap forms, like… clunky af ?

If hunters can have Frighten Beast baseline, I think Hibernate should also be baseline.

Cyclones range is absurdly low for a melee thats supposed to get out of the safety of cat/bear form and manually cast it.
A 5 yard range buff could be enough.
You already nerfed Clone 2 times.
Boomie rightfully deserved the nerf to Clone but not Feral.
Just buff the range a lil bit.

PvP talents are mostly unimaginative, rework each one of them like … it feels pathetic asking a creative studio to be creative but just look at this sh.

I don’t understand. Feral is currently the #1 melee in the entire game which is completely fine by most people since it is much more pleasant to face them over rogues. Why can’t we just be happy and humble. Why do we even create dumb posts like this? We are asking for the entire spellbook buffed, Alright.

no it isnt , check statistics fury/ww monk are on the top, every melee has better toolkit than feral , feral has nerf amp on heals and is the glasscannon spec and only melee without any immunity, every class feels modern compare to feral spec , our mobility got gutted this season too, the cyclone nerf is also massive for a glasscannon spec like feral.

if feral was a tiny bit tankier and heals actually did something i wouldnt complain , i can die with 60% dmg reduction through bear form vs ww and fury… should tell you something that something isn’t right

every melee catches feral with their mobility and new shiny pvp talents , feral pvp talents are getting removed/ nerfed every patch and xpac

playing feral ingeneral its like playing MWF 2 on nightmare difficulity as default and now after the nerfs its even worse , if the range on clone wouldnt get nerfed with heart of the wild cast time i would be okay with it

boomkin on the other hand needed nerf on clone cast time since they had 2 talents to reduce cast time

not to mention our 3m cd wall with 60% dam reduction only lasts 6 seconds , compare to enha shamans astral shift its 50% and 12 seconds…

cause its not balanced at all feral glasscannon vs immortal and more mobile fury warriors and ww monks 1 tapping you if not carefull

would question you the same if they decided to nerf range on ret abilites and remove bubbble or put forberance on wings

no we are asking to be tankier and so we can actually counter braindead zug zug 1 shot 1600 players thinking they are good at the game by button mashing because their class is giga broken and immortal/mobile like husain bolt

like our damage is not as broken as it was in s1 and yeah our damage is fine but the toolkit is outdated and nerfed in pvp combat and its tilting all the feral mains out there

all ferals want is remove pvp nerfs on regrowth, revert the 40% movement speed pvp talent nerf /revert cyclone range nerf

and for the love of god , introduce new pvp talents already, not game breaking ones but ones that will make gameplay more enjoyable and it will feel impactful.

this spec really needs love when it comes to pvp talents

Because i put too much time and effort to learn a difficult spec for it to suck so much and be so clunky for years with design pieces that are nonsensical.
For a comparison you can learn a ret paladin in 2 days and reach 2.4 in a few more.
Hope this helps figuring why we’re not “humble”.
Just open Rets spell book and read your passive and active spells outloud, log on to your feral and do the same.

in bfa you had 2x survival instincts that lasted 12 seconds each and we had 15% crit chance on our regrowth baseline

Idk lads I’ll keep my fingers crossed that all your wishes come true, but I’m a little worried that if feral gets anything, it’ll be a fat nerf on your forehead.

Nobody of the players picked feral because its op.
People picked it because its underdog 24/7
We are the least part of the playerbase that wants it to be broken.
For the most part we enjoy that its complex, thing is
theres a fine line between complex and fun and complex and overwhelming.

Im alright with that as long as we can connect when we want to (the same way other classes can)
I cant remember when it was the last time i had a problem with roots on my rogue and on my monk.

just like rets in Dragonflight after rework every lobby rets 1 shoting and rets telling “Its totally fine” you are the same as the rest of us

I’m sure if feral was really as bad as people want to make it out to be we wouldnt be seeing people play mirror FMP or ele/feral in the top 1 percentile of player in pro scene, sure the environment is different and they play at a entirely other level. But to see the likes of even the rogues shifting from rogue, to feral and taking their chances at playing the mirror match up instead. Speaks for itself.

but even then when you feast your eyes on other brackets of content, feral is seeing top % representation in 2v2, 3v3 & shuffle respectivley especially in EU.

I agree, they need a re-design so they’re less toxic/buggy but then again all stealth classes are egregiously buggy anyway.

hunters have to specc into their pet fear its in the default tree on the far right. :dracthyr_shrug:

im pretty sure using cancelform vs most slows removes it or atleast the global of going back into a form will 100% remove it if cancelling the form does not (but im sure it does)

most classes with the option to decurse have to spec into it, so should druid. Considering weapon chains are pruned from retail and immuning hard CC like Polymorph is off the table for most melee, I think feral is eating good.

from 3-5 expansions of observation and idly playing druid myself at 2.2 MMR in 2’s I fancy most druid players are mostly disrespectful to other classes and refuse to utilise bear form which is the only reason alot of druids even die to begin with or position really awkwardly, your choice.

It is literally 2 feral players repeating the same stuff ad nauseum, complaining about a factually S tier spec who literally just saw a large representation at AWC and are the second most represented melee in 3v3 ladder.

I suspect their PoV is from solo shuffle, which is fine, but nevertheless, feral is a strong, well rounded with perks that some other classes could only be envy about. But hey, grass is greener over at neghbours, amirite.

This thread is not about WW tho, and while I don’t actually think ferals should lose their immunity to polymorph or shifting roots, you are proposing ridicoulously massive, over the top buffs on the second best melee spec.

Just say it out loud, you want feral to be easier.

And as for WW, it certainly isnt as complex as sub rogue or feral, and it is strong and does big dam, dont even pretend it is on the same lvl as feral (when played to full potential).

But gratz on making Faveyo like your posts, his tune about WW also changed in season 2.

we never said its unplayable all we ask is to give it some extra love with pvp talents and range on cyclone since we are a glass cannon .

there are more bugs with it too but yeah fair point

yeah but its on GCD and you have to pick if its worth changing form or not sometimes , 1 bad GCD and youre out.

im mainly asking for range on clone and new pvp talents since rogues and every other classes have been eating good in your terms

no i havent , i ask for new pvp talents and not gamebreaking ones like we got in DF with cyclone frenzy proc , but something healthier and more choice to pick , last patch we lost king of the jungle , whats next ? wicked claws that gets nerfed every new patch?

i agree ww is easy , but im not saying damage zug zug zug , im comparing the toolkit , defensives , mobility , ring of piss etc again OUTDATED TOOLKIT is my point of arguement

so il list down what i asked for feral that could change for the positive

  • New Fresh PvP Talents (not gamebreaking ones)

  • Cyclone range buffed by 5 yards

  • If Cyclone range not buffed add old BFA 15% Crit Amp on Regrowth

  • Heart Of The Wild Nerf reverted, If not reduce cooldown from 5 minutes to 3 minutes

is this so hard to ask for?

now u also have ret every lobby after they got omega buffed
