But the hybrid tax was for the classes that were originally designed for all 3 parts of the holy trinity (shamans had a fair few tanking talents in vanilla and after vanilla they lost most of the tax tbh), so by how the hybrid tax have been applied from the start of the game no warriors and DKs are not counted as hybrid nether are priests when it comes to healing.

(buff in Ulduar patch, then nerf naturalist, revert nerf, nerf by adding omen glyph in TOGC patch)… Fire mage, UH DK, Affli locks are on top, feral can compete for top dps only on pure single target fights and how many single target fights are in ICC??? Going by your logic tbc/wotlk shamans should not be considered hybrids since they only fill in 2 roles and should be buffed.
The so called hybrid tax is a dated stupid idea and is being used by trolls or clueless people as a form of logic on why spec X should perform worse or better than another.
YES for example the gap between warriors in p1/2 and other classes was huge and should not be a thing (granted #nochanges and 15 year old game) but people crying cause 1 or more specs are better by 2-5% and then yell hybrid tax are the same people that led to homogenization we have on retail today.

I already bought 1k Omen Of Clarity glyph for ICC progress.
Every time I need to swap from cat form to bear, I will have to remove Omen glyph because it will nerf my threat :

This will be spammed by every Feral offtank that want to deal damage while not tanking in cat form, and pump threat when tanking.

The fact that Blizzard are too idiotic to even include an “in Cat Form” clause so that it doesn’t simultaneously nerf Bear Tanking is the real reason that most Ferals are upset by these changes, not the 5% itself (even though it’s technically 5.5%.)
Why is it that only we are subject to half-baked changes on a semi-regular basis? The whole appeal of Classic was that it was a window into a past expansion where we already knew what to expect.

Of course, we’d know that ahead of time if they made any attempt at communicating with us (as they said they would the last time that they decided to hotfix our spec 4 times in the span of a few hours), but I guess asking Blizzard to uphold their own promises is too much to ask.
They didn’t even append the glyph change to their official notes until an hour after people had already discovered it for themselves simply by loading up the PTR.

Even without this nerf all of the above are 1k DPS above feral on average.
At least make effort to check things before comments like that.

you rarely see a bear because they were a pretty bad maintank before icc, this changes in icc tho. and remember, the person u replied to said 4 “viable” specs, and viable means that u can run it and do the content, ofc top guilds might not run things that are “viable” but not “optimal”
Always funny how people of the same few classes are still fighting for being stacked in a raid because someone goes for a spotlight in a high charts of all the sims.
As you could notice not a single thread started by spriest, hunter or eleshams. They were mediocre and they’ll be. Not a single top-raid stacking them, hell they can’t get their spot in raid sometimes because everything is easily replacable by other classes.
Blizzard still doing this stupid thing where they completely ignoring everything below certain level of a game - you don’t have to buff or nerf a class or spec if they are simply not represented in raids, right?
