TL;DR: Feral is completely dead. I mean 100% nuked dead. A bite deals more than our entire 4-P
The positives
Fixed Mastery scaling
Fixed multidips into Set
The negatives
The MONSTER nerf of the damage
The Nerf assumes that you are both using TF, the Conduit & the Talent that caused it
Swarm Snapshot still not fixed / listed
Balance Affinity still doesn’t buff the sickle range
The quote about the nerf justification.
The damage reduction reflects the removal of those repeat benefits and bringing the damage in line with other set bonuses.
The set was, even at it’s most bugged state, absolutely not good.
The big problem now is that the 65%~ nerf of the set is scaled to roughly the amount you got if you both used the TF Conduit and the lvl 15 talent that caused it to add 2x 21% of damage.
The nerf takes for granted that you would’ve taken those conduits 100% of the time, which we didn’t.
This means those changes are beyond crazy, especially on ST which we were already fallen behind a ton.
This all without any kind of compensation, or changes to the set which is already an even more boring version of our Frenzyband Legendary that doesn’t really synergize or change our gameplay.
As many Ferals on both Dreamgrove & all Forums have said, please rework the set and make it actually change how we play or revolve around a more flexible ability like TF which has been mentioned over and over again & would especially help the direly saught after Dot-Playsstyles that care more about snapshotting etc & would idealy get rid of the horrible position that Ferals find themselves in where they have to switch to Moonkin to not have to AFK.
Ferals have been in a horrible state, especially from a gameplay side and the reputation it has in both the casual & competitive community is more than justified.
Please don’t doom us to another year of being a Convoke-Bite Bot which now can press Zerk 1min earlier than before, please for the love of god.
It is not a bug, its a feature!
They just want to get rid of the handful Feral players really at this point. No other justification. I just stopped doing PvE a long time ago because as a DPS and Feral on top its really not worth it. At least Feral is still good in PvP but with the necro legendary that might change as well…
Guys what other specs has a similar playstyle to Feral? I really tried to play other classes but I cant just leave Druid
Okay, so I am not the only one who is confused by this - this really makes no sense, does it? In simple speak, they say “the set did too much damage because of bugs … we fixed the bugs and in order to compensate we lowered the damage”.
Have the fixed survival yet or are still aloud to rampage and feral just gets gutted even more?
This is stupid at this point, no ferals in mythic+ no ferals in raids, are we just for pvp maybe? Like what are they doing, do they just want druid to be 3 classes and they are just slowing killing feral so no one will complain.
I had hope it was stupidly placed I should known. it’s been good boys/girls hell of ride but ferals done sadly.
I don’t think there is one. I mean, rogue has the same energy and combo points style, but I haven’t found a rogue spec I love the way I love feral. (Also, you can’t be a cat.)
I know sadly I tried many so far… rogue is close but its not hybrid. Monk healing is really non exsistent but I think I will be trying enh shaman next looks quite interesting with totems and hybrid style (PvP PoV)
Today is patch day and the quote above still applies. I have honestly no idea what Blizz are doing, it really feels like they do not actually want you to play their game.
I think the problem really is that most Ferals (players?) don’t believe Blizz are acting in good faith anymore. Instead, Blizz seem to mostly consider players a nuisance which must be ignored or “managed” as much as possible. Which is a shame, because, despite the huge amount of noise on the forum, there is so much thorough and detailed feedback to be found. It would be a treasure trove for the devs if they were willing to just utilise it. But I guess in the end the “You think you do, but you don’t” spirit still prevails.
May be I am totally unfair here and there are very good reasons for what they do. But since they refuse to tell us, how would we know?
Anyway, I will give Balance a shot this tier. Meant to try it for a while now. If I like it, good for me. If not, I will probably unsub. This druid already raided in Molten Core, I will never reroll to another main.
Sad to see that the only viable option is just to not play the spec you like. The monster nerf on top of the bug fixes makes no sense. Although a similar nonsensical mage nerf on the same day was reverted within twenty-four hours, sadly, as ferals, we will probably have to wait four or five months for Blizzard to adjust the nerf to our uninspired, gutted tier set.
