Feral slows 20%?

Why is feral’s slow only 20%? It’s feeling kinda odd that a rogue with a spammable 50% ranged slow can outrun a cat. But maybe it even deserve nerfs because ppl die of laughter.

my guess is blizzard didnt like hypermobile classes having OP passive slows (feral, dh) so they tuned them down

“spammable” slow costs a third of my energy? How spammable do you think it is?

but WW slow doesn’t fit either criteria.

it’s not part of your rotation
and it’s not a passive proc.

WW monk slow is exact same as warrior hamstring

Ferals have 45% increased movement speed, plus can powershift out of roots and snares.
I guess it would be OP with the amount of uptime we could have if it was 50%, but we do have thorns which if you hit into gives a 50% speed reduction to the enemy attacker.

This. Also every class must feel different, instead of slowing enemies, feral moves faster. I’m all for feral buffs but I think Rake dmg is where any buff should go cuz it is just too low for a bleed class. Speed is usually not an issue unless you are chasing mounted people.

The problem is that you can’t catch people with a spammable ranged slow. When a rogue spams toxic knife or pistol shot, you cant possibly catch the rogue when he’s sitting your pathetic 20% slow. Even when you keep shifting in and out of form

Spammable means - no cost. You can cast 2-3 toxic knifes, however you can shapeshift out of it and still catch him.

It is true, good rogues or frost mages can still kite ferals. rogue knife builds cp too i believe so it does a ton of dmg if u take that into account.

what about monk it has the same mobility as dh but can root by applying its slow twice

The main problem is that the slow’s applied with Rake.

This means that you can’t reliable slow people because if you Rake all the time in order to re-apply slows you:

A) Lose tons of energy (and thus damage), Rake is fairly expensive.
B) Lose tons of damage, re-applying Rake and not focusing on maintaining buffed Rakes (Bloodtalons/Tiger’s Fury) results in a substantial damage loss.

It should just be applied on Shred just like it used to, pre-Legion. The way it’s applied today is just really clunky and stupid (moved to another ability which, naturally, is counter-productive to re-apply as needed for the slow).

And without Moonfire, Balance Affinity and Powershifting we could really use some more slows (35-40%) seems a lot more manageable. Feral’s getting kited regularly by things like Survival Hunters, DHs, Rogues etc. Again, Feral’s are getting kited by Rogues, that’s a new one.

It is already stressful to catch one

they cant get out of slows and roots. Ferals shift form and here its lost your spams for a weak slow. All was like nothing

We do have wild charge which leaps us to the target plus entangled roots which is a instant cast when it procs.
You will catch up to anyone.

Allow all the SV hunters to salute you with their 45/100 focus Wing Clip.

Get buffed you idjit.

Mages are ranged and have blinks. When somebody attempts to kite, you are often even in an advantage because freecasting. When people try to LoS, you can blink to line.
However with all that being said, fire mages are good in 3s because of partners with good stuns such as rogues, but is indeed lacky in 2s because of no slows. That’s also why fire is very dependant on a good partner
