i am lvling as feral and when i use ferocious bite (rank 4) that cost 35 energy it uses more than 35 energy, if i have more than 35 energy it removes all the other energy that i have left.
Not bugged.
Ferocious bits consumes all energy to do EPIC ULTIMATE DAMAGE.

ferocious bite is bugged for sure… i got crit for 5400dmg from ferocious bite in arena yesterday… and this at 350 resilence… has to be bugged xD
assuming agaisnt feral rogue, with expose armor + feral with armor pen gear

Sir, sometimes reading the tooltip is giving you the answer. While it only costs 35 energy, it also consumes all of the remaining energy, adding more damage to it per extra energy spent. This has been a thing atleast until legion.

5k4 FB mean feral was in pve gear +15% damage for FB with the +15% for FB from talent too (not a talent you often pick in pvp).

That’s it read the spell it’s writted it use all extra energy, you have to use FB only when you close to 35 energy cause the damage per energy conversion from this spell is not good.

And I assume yes, the over 5k FB was probably a Feral w/ t6 and the talent. Which is something you dont do it pve.
I play w/ a Rogue. Iv hit a Resto Druid 4.5k in my gear. But as some have already pointed out my Rogue puts expose up and the Druid was not in Bear form. So that kind of dmg is very very rare to see.
absolutely not the norm to do so. maybe if u skip intensity and improved leader of the pack but hardly worth the loss
There is no loss, you have enough points to take all the dps gains and still have some over if you REALLY wanted to go full cat.
The 15% dmg is not bad at all from FB, in solid gear you usually have enough time to bleed and FB before you have to bleed again.

Umm… no, its mostly a tanking spec, that is true. But cat does good dmg all the same.
And yes, you can still take the 15% fb dmg, and get all the goodies for tanking too. The armor one is a bit useless, since Sham + Priest crits give an armor buff. I am nearly capped even w/o it.

Cat do good single target damage, can be a 3rd tank, you bring 2 tank only, then you arrive at mother, council, illidan FR gear (even if elem can be solo tank), and the Dps cat can switch to bear on trash too, you can pick 1 or 2 target when RL call it, or switch bear to taunt target going out of the pack for exemple when warlock take some trash aggro when pumping too much on trash.
And yes as 3rd tank you mostly play as cat, bring extra innerv for Arcane mage pumping, bring Brez, and crit aura for melee, too much versatility, just an addon to switch gear and good to go.

You don’t need imp Lotp, you don’t need armor talent too because you need only 28k7 armor (lower by 70.58% the damage) to reach the armor cap versus a Boss with a priest or a sham buff (35880 lower to 75%); and as 3rd tank they don’t give you the target that hit the stronger. For exemple on council you take the rogue, he don’t hit that hard, and when vanish you dps as cat.
And Bite damage is worth it cause optimal rotation is “Bite weave” rotation; alternate between Bite and Rip (at this gear level we have enough crit for it).
Some Drood even do full Bite and never rip cause if you get a lucky RNG on crit for Bite it can turn better than Rip to try get top 1 world parse (toottoot is the specialist for that), and the more Arpen feral will have the more Bite will become better than Rip.

Tank and Cat PvE talents are basicly the same.

yea but why would u bring a cat druid? not even bip***r does that
ya they won’t do that, they prefer pick an extra war tank or paltank and have 3 tank for boss that need 2, instead having a dps cat that can easy switch and boost the arcane mage that is one of the best Dps of TBC while still doing decent dps en boosting his group damage.
Or they make 1 player switch each boss that don’t need an extra tank.
