Festering wounds / bursting sores damage

so when festering wounds were on a target that died it used to pop the remaining on the enemy on death causing the spalsh damage to others, this doesnt seem to be happening meaning wounds get wasted currently?

can anyone shed any light on this?

Edit:
cancel that, worked it out was the bursting sores talent.
however can we maake the damage from the wonds on death spread the remaining wound damage that would have affected the target speak to others on death in addition to bursting sores?

for new expac:

id suggest as this point both ebon fever and bursting sores should be made a core part of the spec and provide a new talent in the place. Ebon so mandatory at this point you cant use bursting and actually both would be very good for mythic which we arent faring amazing in without messing up single target power.

provide a new strike that augments the dots and empowers them rather than a talent passive.

death strike needs to be stronger if you keep up the current playstyle, we rely on outliving people so we need to be able to actually do that. perhaps make it so deathstike buff itself each time, minimum heal needs to come up.

Mate the UH talent tree is utter rubbish. We basically have about 70% mandatory talents then we swap the rest accordingly if we’re raiding or dungeoneering.

The wound system is really tiresome, it’s basically a worse version of combo points, our runes and RP are a worse version of holy power.

Death Strike is a comedy ability when it comes to damage, and is only used for emergency health regen.

They need to overhaul the whole damn thing. Have a distinctive builds that express disease / infection vs summoning hordes of undead.

Right now we have, mostly summoning undead, with a bit of disease for aoe, or full on undead summoning.

Gear up a paladin atm, the ret talent tree is so well thought out. Nearly all the talents do something great and actually have multiple viable builds both on ST and AoE. We need that treatment too.

Now as for our class tree… Those tend to be so rubbish anyhow as it’s much harder to make generic trees that cover all specs.

i got a ret, mained ret for a while a few years ago got tired of it, new version is good but i dont like that it seems to get hardstuck at iLVL with no real benefit to gear increase with the way it scales. i do love dk but i agree desperate for some love, not just a band aid fix through the so called hero talents.

Paladin was a class that got rework half way though on the new trees and the refinement i agree shows well.

The move to the new trees was absolutley the right thing to do they are alot better.
some time spent refining them and reworking talents would be good. it all ended being a rush and copy paste of current builds with points rather than the old tree. paladin is good as it mixed up the play and covered some of its major flaws.

id focus alot of the tress and classes for strong M+ play as this is the major gameplay aspect now id say more so than raiding.

wounds i dont mind but they need to be far more easily spread or obtained, festering should be one hit for 4 no rng with not gimping dps to build them up all the time, make them impactful but not hinderance.

  • bake in bursting from the off set.

  • get rid of Ebon fever, bake it in and strikes should refresh the dot id suggest necrotic becomes a base talent with this element baked in.

  • either buff death strike or add leech element to the diseases properly and augment damage. maybe add a debuff from death strike to do leech damage,

  • id also make deathstike add shield for all three specs.

-give back outbreak spreading as adds come in so much smoother and nicer to play with and had no negative to it sitll dont get why this went and adds to the namesake.

in effect rework the talents for some new augment effects, make it more interesting to play with some options
work on PVP specially against melee, weaknesses are good but not to the extent of that.
