This, actually ⌠seems very sensible.
Boosts have moved into the mainstream. Itâs no longer just sketchy characters asking you to Skype so they can take your credit card outside of Blizzardâs monitoring, and guilds doing a limited number of gold boosts to fund their next tier progression.
Thereâs a Discord that functions as a market for WoW services. All, or all that I can see at least, legit by Blizzardâs ToS. Sales for gold only. People have formed themselves into boosting âCommunitiesâ. They are no longer tied to realm, thanks to the Token; they all accept gold on all realms, and will eventually cash it in for time or balance. No doubt some will sell the gold or balance on for real money to people who want to buy time or games, but thatâs outside this context.
There is also a flourishing gold trading market, like: âWTT 3.2M from Burning Legion to Silvermoon.â Hereâs one hot off the press:
LF 10m on kazzak Horde Can give : 10m on ravencrest A/Silvermoon A/Defias Brotherhood A/Sylvanas A/Blackmoore A/Antonidas A Or i can give 7 420 000 on TN against same amount on gold on kazzak
As far as I can see, all these are not only legit, but honest. Iâm not seeing complaints about people scamming or renaging. Thatâs because itâs now a regular business, and reputation matters. For people who are nervous, there are very high reputation middlemen who will hold funds while a deal is completed, for a cut.
It all feels very respectable and safe and open, like any market. None of the offers I can see is going to get anyone into trouble with Blizzard, and since the advertising takes place outside the game, theyâre not breaking any chat or LFG rules. Itâs really very well-run and pleasant.
If you want to buy or sell a raid boost, or an M+ boost, or a levelling boost, or a rating boost, or a TCG or other very high value item, or an achievement, or trade gold between realms, buy something from another realmâs BMAH, whatever, this is the place to do it.
Just as Blizzard eventually legitimised goldselling, so long as they get their cut, it seems reasonable that they will eventually provide market services as well.
