Aye, some dwarven beards could work on humans… not the stylish ones maybe, but the ‘‘loose’’ ones. I mean - look at the OG Necromancers like Gothik and Heigan, they literally have put the big loose dwarven beard on 'em, thats it.
Exactly my thoughts. Maybe the viking braids feel “too much” for Humans, because that is the style that makes a Dwarf. But beards like those I am showing in the pictures should be made manifest.
I agree with you, I just said what Blizzard might be afraid of when it comes to long beards for Humans. I would not mind viking beards, in fact, they would be cool.
It is also impractical for such short midgets to possess long beards- they might step on them. While we, Humans, have the perfect (and majestic) height.
Not really, as the beard is compared to body size. If you were to have the same huge gnome beard, it’d still reach as far on your human body. So a gnomish beard on gnomes that reaches their feet, would still reach the feet on humans if they were to have the same body length beard.
I know, it was more like a joke noting that long beards on Humanity is a much more important fantasy than (very) long bearded Gnomes (they even got their longest beard in SL).
But yeah I know how analogies work. While I am against having that long beards, that stretch to the feet, I am pretty sure that their current longest beard (“Garden”) could be considered a long beard if you copy-pasted on a Human. I just pointed out the injustice of even Gnomes getting to look like proper wizards, but not us.
Well, tbh, their longest beard looks like absolute dog poo - just look at it, pixelated to all hell. Embarrassing that it was even allowed to go live looking like that.
Yeah, and the way it curls is a bit awful, but here’s the big deal: Blizzard did not think of adding a long beard to Humans, but to Gnomes instead. Almost feels like they do it on purpose. How can they not see?
‘Huge variety’ does not automatically guarantee, equipment you wish to transmog…most of the equipment I transmog is from a fairly small pool, that I think (other players mileage will vary) work for the character…frequently these are not the ‘all singing, all dancing’ sets or even epic or legendary equipment…and may include items that are not quite ‘on point’, simply because I have not got around to researching something that looks better.
Also something that looks good on one race, may not on another.
I’m also generally reluctant to spend gold on the process…so I’m frequently rigged out, in disparate and sartorially sub-optimal visual effects…my Alliance Alt is closest to my preferred Hunter look, but still contains items that clip, bow needs changing, etc.
Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, and by considering each and every one’s valid opinion, without offence I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
Customisation extends beyond facial fur…I was responding to Ozric’s suggestion that beards were like quivers and therefore an item Blizz have no interest in.
I was simply pointing out that quivers are available in game…indeed, I’m wearing one and so is my Alt.
True, but this particular thread is precisely about “facial fur”. Also I put it more as a joke, rather than to stop your conversation.
No matter how much you would like that, you do not know what Blizzard wants or doesn’t want. I don’t understand why every “fuwwy” Vulpera is against long beards for Humans in every thread I have made.
