Finally KSM requires players to do tyrannical weeks. Love it!

hahahahahahahaha I bet this was a surprise to all you mount collectors. I know all you forum dwellers hate tyrannical weeks, but personally I think tyrannical is great and just requires a bit of tuning.

  • The +15 KSM mount has been too easy to get for too long.

The KSM and M+ changes look incredible and will encourage M+ pushers to play every week, instead of every second. Also, it is very likely that Blizzard will make tyrannical week better tuned over time as it will become more relevant to do them.

Now, just add some betters ways for M+ pushers to gear, so they are not forced to do mythic raiding in order to progress with their M+ rating.

Edit: This addition was made afterwards, because of the arguments that have been made. The OP is made with the current game design in mind. Were it up to me I would happily have seen Blizzard remove fortified/tyrannical and released 16 dungeons instead of 8 in its place.

Literally all Fortified keys.
And when you do a Tyrannical key it’s several levels lower and often results in a fail or only a +1 upgrade.

If you enjoy tyrannically why are you not currently playing as much during those weeks?

How is it not already relevant enough to make them want to make it fun / balanced?

Because there was no point in doing it.

You said you enjoy it.
That is reason enough, if true.

I don’t really find difference between tyrannical and fortified but I only do low keys.

Yeah and as you can see I got the equivalance of KSM on tyrannical aswell (except for SD 14). I have ran many tyrannical dungeons because I still enjoy it, but it is obvious that my highest score dungeons are fortified.

Well, I personally mind this very much for 2 reasons.

Number 1:

It requires alot of tuning. The imbalance between the 2 is way too harsh, even after the nerfs. I got my KSM before the majority of nerfs, and let me tell you that SD, TOP, DOS were really hard to do, compared to fortified.

And second, MORE IMPORTANTLY. Incase you haven’t figured out, this is just another way of them making you spend more time in the game. This tells me that 9.1 will last forever once again, and they are running out of ideas what else to do. After 14 years of playing the game and trying to defend it, I’m actually now starting to accept it’s over, because they are making one bad decision after another. And what’s even worse, is the fact that they’re doing it deliberately. Look at the forums, wowhead, reddit, ingame reports. They are receiving tons of feedback, and they just ignore it.

Why is that an obvious thing? Oh that’s right, because you’re aware that Tyrannical sucks.

If you enjoyed running Tyrannical you wouldn’t avoid Tyrannical weeks.
There a reason why most of your keys are all done within the same week, because it wasn’t Tyrannical which sucks, it was Fortified which is better, so you went for it.

This isn’t a coincidence.
You make a conscious decision not to play as much during Tyrannical as you do during Fortified.

So stop pretending like Tyrannical is fine, you may like to think of yourself as outside of the crowd, an individual, but you’re just like everyone else.

This isn’t going to spark Blizzard to make Tyrannical better, this is their idea of a solution to Tyrannical being worse.

The 2nd score of a dungeon only counts for 33%. It is very possible when you push on fortified and do some levels lower on tyrannical that you still get KSM easy. So you don’t have to change your way of playing at all.

Yes I am aware, I got my KSM before you did ^^ I can’t refute that tyrannical is harder and frankly a pain sometimes. However, that is a challenge in itself and I think that the way you have to adapt differently to tyrannical weeks in relation to fortified weeks is interesting.

I don’t think this is problematic, I like to play WoW and have hard met goals to strive for. Now I barely play because there is nothing to do. I even unsubbed for two months. I personally love running M+ and having more reasons to do so is a good change in my opinion.

Your new challenge is doing the keys on +16 fortified, so you can do the tyrannical part on +12 :joy:

+15 is not “pushing”, though.

I didn’t know you were psychic. Oh that’s right, you are not.

hahahhaha you damn stalker, it is also hard to take you serious when your M+ experience is close to 0. But okay, let me engage in your argument.

The reason why most of my keys are done on fortified is because I was striving for a higher RIO score and it was easier to push on fortified weeks than tyrannical. However, this doesn’t remove the fact that I like tyrannical as a concept. Like I said, you can also see I have an equivalence of KSM or better during tyrannical affixes too. With the new systems you will have an incentive to push on tyrannical weeks too and again, I like this change.

But it’s not a challenge. It’s a numerical fiesta. Doing a +15 HOA on fortified is the same as doing a +11 DOS on tyrannical. In my eyes, this isn’t a challenge, but rather an annoying barrier they created.

The good example of fortified / tyrannical done right were the majority of dungeons in Legion until Lower Kara, Seat and the Cathedral came out on M+. This is just the content we are testing for them imo.

I’m fine with that, and I fully respect the opinion you don’t think it’s a problem, but this makes me feel you’re quite new to the game. The reality is, that they are creating more and more tedious ways to extend the play time.

Let me give you some examples:

  • Is the KSM change gonna make players happy? No, the majority will rage about it. It’s not more challenging or more fun to do the same things over and over. For 2 expansions and the first patch we had it like this, and now they will change it.
  • Take a look at most of the world quests and bonus objectives and compare them to WOD, Legion, even BFA ones. Is it fun that instead of killing 10 bears, you have to kill 35? No it’s not, but instead of doing a WQ for 5 min, you’re doing it for 15.
  • The time gating we are having for the last 3 expansions. Did you enjoy that Twisting Corridors were locked behind some weekly quests? No, but it again extends the gametime and subs.

It’s going downhill boys, let’s face it. I actually thought that SL will be ‘the good’ expansion, since from wotlk onwards, we get 1 superb, 1 bad, 1 great, 1 bad. It’s 2 bad expansions in a row already. Really dissapointed.

This doesn’t affect me at all and I still hate it.

TLDR of OP

“I’m so good at the game, it’s easy guys just do it”
also OP : doesnt do it himself

Nah I am not, I am fully aware of tedious grind. Like torghast and stygia reputation grinds… These things are very tedious indeed, but I am also fine with other grinds.

You could very well argue that clearing a mythic raid or getting 2200 Arena rating is an endless grind too. I don’t see the difference between that and those that are pushing mythic keys.

Regarding your first statement: I never said it was easy and is it really that bad to want better challenges in a game? Why aren’t you ripping on the PvP or mythic posts about how they should give the same rewards to everyone?

Regarding your second statement: Not even remotely true lol

Doesnt affect me either but the game is already in a terrible state and they’re just doubling down on all the terrible decisions, my sub is over soon and I’m happy it is

I appreciate the sentiment here and in both those points I agree with you. My observation is that the community is sick of both affixes and would like to see them gone. The dominant point of view is, that the affixes are outdated and as a matter of fact accentuates poor dungeon balance (SD and DoS as examples).
