Finishing Dragonflight's questline?

Hey everyone,

Returning guy here :slight_smile:
I used my current WoW ‘package’ so far and did not buy the extension - YET

I have NO idea which extension was up when i last played WoW, but i created a new toon, and just hit 70 in the Dragonflight/DragonIles zone… Now, of course i am weak and i will buy the newest extension so my stupid question is : is there ANY point in finishing the Dragonflight questline? I’m guessing everything (loot/renown etc) will be useless in the extension anyways, or do i have this wrong?

Unless you want to see the storyline or are after specific appearances or cosmetics there is no reason you need to do more of the old expansions.
