Fire Mage abnormal DMG

Hello,

My level 35 Fire Mage (Vulcanussk, Drak’thul EU) is dealing 17,000 to 42,000 damage with Fire Blast, even without gear or talents.

I’ve tested this in the open world (not on training dummies), and it appears to be a spell scaling bug.

Steps tested: – unequipped all gear
– removed or randomized talents
– used no buffs
– restarted game, tested multiple zones

This may be tied to recent patch changes, leveling scale, or Fire Blast itself.

Please look into it – I’ve submitted a ticket as well.

Hi, no need to look into this anymore – the issue was caused by level scaling. I was level 35 fighting level 30 mobs, which explains the unusually high damage. Everything is fine now. Thank you!
