I’m starting to play in TBC, was wondering what server should I pick to play as Alliance: Firemaw or Gehennas?
My main goal at the end of the game: mostly PvP (arena)
Will I face any problems finding a leveling group while playing on Firemaw?

I’m currently on Firemaw, Horde. I’d say it’s roughly a 50/50 split between H&A, though I think Alliance do have a slightly higher population. I see a lot of Horde & Alliance levelling, so depending on what class/spec, I’d say depends how easy you find a group.

Play horde, they got more pvp orientated player base and with HvH here to stay honor grind is even quicker than on alliance side, don’t even think about going alliance if you want to PVP.

For arenas yes, but for bgs, where you will spend a bit of time to get the required gear to get into arenas, things are not good for alliance because of the afk-ers, flaming, disogranised playing, trust me i’ve been playing alliance since i started playing wow back in tbc.

Go Firemaw. Gehennas its too unbalanced. Firemaw has bigger Alliance community than Gehennas.
have you tried making a premade group for bgs?
Yea untill blizzard decided to put an end to premades.
Currently playing Firemaw, having no issues with balance here. Feels like a good, balanced server to play
Going to gehennas alliance while it is slowly shrinking is your own risk. A risk I would not take as it will mostly only become less and less population there.

I’d go for the Firemaw out of those two. Megaserver with good faction balance, which Gehennas doesn’t have.
Not sure how alive low-level stuff is on either, though. Seems to be mostly boosts?
Ashbringer is the place to be.

i just created a draenei warrior in firemaw but sadly only two of those realms will have activity in terms of all levels. which I will go back on orc warrior of gehennas at tea time.
only as a horde, as alliance for example you have very low chance to find a good guild here if u are not shaman, boomkin or holy pala atm looking at the recruitment
I’m not sure the Horde has any particularly great guilds recruiting either. It’s a fairly dad-like server, which is what I love about it!

I didn’t say it had the most active low leveling. I’m just saying it is far from the worst.
Right now, Sunday morning, I’m seeing a few WC, SFK, BFD, SM and Mara spams, so it could be worse. Don’t see too much boosting going on these days.
The right answer is Benediction if you want to play on US or Earthshaker for EU. Both are Alliance dominated realms. Firemaw is somewhat near balanced, but Gehennas is slowly but steady turning into Horde mega realm, just like Пламегор.
alliance side leveling on ashbringer is dead, nobody doing low lvl dungeons, even the sm boosts have gotten rare. i would not recommend unless you wanna lvl 1-60 mostly solo
edit: my shaman is lvl 35 for the past 2 weeks, been trying to make groups while i farm on my lvl 70 but no luck, only got myself a gnomergan group after 2h of searching, when i was lvl 32
i am only gonna use gehannas as my main horde base of operations while pvp server wise I use firemaw for my ally base
