but what is the damn point transfering away from friends and into dead servers where you cant even do a 5 man dungeon cus, there is NO people there! the whole game has entered a big xxxx hole and blizzard doesnt do a damn thing to fix anything.

They need to fix this asap, i have been on Firemaw from day one and suddenly Blizzard let everyone come here!

I think you might be on to something here to be honest… Especially with WOTLK in mind. Dead servers will never do the Wintergrasp event essentially. I don’t really think anyone cares about lots of layers at this point, seeing as Firemaw had loads on launch for the first month(s).
As for your other points, I don’t know… hoping people transfer? As a few other comments allude to here, Blizzard seem happy to just leave the Classic community alone and just take the abuse. Cheaper than offering real solutions. Until there is a financial reason to implement anything, I doubt they will.

Eh, i won’t be playing Wrath for various gameplay reasons, which is why having no TBC era realms has made me so depressed for the last few days.
Yes, but that doesn’t explain why there are Classic era servers literally with 0 population still up and running for some reason, or at best like 1-2 people, if 3rd party sites are to be trusted. It’s clear they have completely neglected Classic as whole.
Let’s not fool ourselves here, even Classic hasn’t had any real realm communities for a very long time, maybe in the very beginning of the games launch. Also, with the current state Classic era servers, i’d wager most, if not all, classic players would be fine with a server merge and accepting people from diff realms and growing the already existing communities. It’s more about having a healthy community, interactive gameplay than a realm specific community. The server ‘‘identity’’ was a huge thing back in 2004, not so much now.

That’s one thing they can do, not the only thing. The second is finally accepting the fact that players want to play on megaservers and build those properly. Competitors on the MMORPG market are able to handle much bigger megaservers just fine, so technology to do that shouldn’t be an issue at this point.

Please speak for yourself (and a whole load of others), but not for everybody (nobody). I don’t want to play on a megaserver. I don’t think that a server with Vanilla pop is dead. Thank you!
Stop playing “I don’t want it, so let nobody have it.” Let’s give place for different tastes and playstyles, please.
I think you should inedeed have more layers on your mega-server, but I also think that I should be allowed to enjoy the close-knit community on my mini-server.

Funnily enough NA megaservers don’t share the same problem with the queues due to having way more layers. While Firemaw has 1/3 of the amount of layers compared to smaller servers in NA. Good reminder on how EU customers always have and always will receive a worse product from Blizzard than NA/OCE/Asia.
Just came home from work and logged on 4500 people in queue, this is ridiculous!
There is a simple solution for Blizzard to the queuing problem on Firemaw.
Perma ban all players who have transferred to Firemaw in the last 6 months.

Well those people wont retain anyway. Thats the ones quitting over it cause they were too idiotic to xfer here without any research.

imagine pay money to tranfer hereb4 all this circus queue and now u have to move away from everyone again to a dead sserver. btw u cant move twice in 2 months so imagine ppl came here and didnt knew about this. they are jailed in firemaw

we gotta thank all this gehenas rats that came here with their streamers WHILE THE KNEW ABOUT QUEUE and made it 10 times worse
after 1 hour queue i came on and i see only 4 layers… and we sit in qqueue for 1 hour + this is insane
Why would you pay money to transfer to somewhere without investigating what it is you’re transfering to? There’s a reason they saying “a fool and his money is soon parted” exists.
