Fishing bots in DMF

So what are you doing about these ‘‘110 DKs and DHs’’ fishing bots in DMF? That stay up all day and all night 24/7 for 7 days fishing darkmoon daggermaw…then dump it all in market along with transmog sets…? i want cheaper transmogs but i dont want BOTS…

ps i reported in-game

maybe in 4 years they will be ‘‘warned’’ with 2 hour warning

reporting bots and playing on alts

If you are reporting them, this is basically the only thing you can do.

There is a “hacks email” you can contact, but reporting in-game does the same job.

As to when you may see action taken varies.

So in the same 24/7 that you’re on alts and reports bots.

You find it hard to believe someone has Netflix on and just fishing?

Seems like you running around and reporting on alts seems more exhausting that just fishing.

What Kiraqt said I am doing that too. Watching some tv show/sport and fishing for hours. You just turn sound on to hear when you need to click while cursor is already set and boom there you go. That’s how many people are fishing, it does not have to be bot.

I can spend 5+ hours fishing, 2-3 movies will get me through it, since you barely have to pay attention to the game. You gonna call me a bot as well xD

Why are you defending bots? He did state that they were there 24/7 for a week or is your reading comprehension so bad that you never bother reading threads you comment on. This is the second time i have seen you chirp in and compeltely miss the mark.

Enable WarMode for everyone and problem with bots and multiboxing will solve itself~

You can report them, but don’t expect immediate action. That does not mean nothing is being done. Here is why:

If you have ants in your house, you can spend all day every day killing them individually and more will just take their place. You will not make a real impact this way. What you want to do is find out how they are getting in and and destroy the nest if possible. Blizzard applies a similar logic when it comes to bots. Rather than spending tremendous amounts of man hours going after individual bots, they study them so they can more easily detect all similar bots. This is why you generally see bans going out in waves.

so everytime i log in with any char and go to that same spot (hidden on some rock barely seen) casting fishing and ignoring /spit and /laugh emotes during the week its just happens that SAME char (110 - so no BFA…Only 12euro sub) is there and HAPPENS to be fishing…while watching netflix…im sorry, all netflix is over with that time spent

Try to put some other interactive object on top the bobber of those ones, like clickable toy or portable Darkmoon carousel if it’s bot it might lead to some interesting outcomes. (=

Please. can you do me a favour, explain to me how they KNOW they’re there 24/, unless they themselves are there 24/7. Next, explain how you KNOW it’s a bot. You’re just assuming things without ANY proof.

If I’m fishing, you see me, vanish for a few hours, come back and I’m still fishing. That doesn’t mean that I’ve been there that whole time. I could have easily logged for an hour. All this is is assumptions, nothinmg more.

I haven’t missed the mark, I just am not stupid enough to see someone fishing a few times and scream “BOT, BLIZZARD, BAN THEM!”. Of course there are going to be people spending hours fishing in Darkmoon, it’s ONLY out for a week, so players will fish as much as they can.

The OP has shown no proof of it being bots and has made it sound like they themselves are spending 24/7 fishing there as well. Does this make them bots as well? Should I start reporting?

Doesn’t take multiboxers much to get 5 characters to fish there and get about 1k fish an hour, and this isn’t against the rules.

How do you know they havent got bfa? It could be an xp locked alt.

Also not everyone who plays WoW has to have bfa anyway some people might wait till it’s part of the free package or simply can’t afford it. Doesn’t make them bots. When my hubby was alive I used to fish in dmf for hours and hours in the same spot with an almost spooky rhythm and I’m not a bot.

So how do you deal with the random wait time when multiboxing?

What do you mean?

Each bobber procks randomly 1-20 seconds after you press fishing button, you can’t synchronize multiple character to one mouse click since you have to click in a different time for each too early or too late and attempt is wasted. Multiboxing and fishing do not go well together, unless you’ll use bots on top of it.

Ah, that makes sense. My bad then. I have no clue how a multiboxer works, I just know they’re out there xD.

But, at the same time, I’ve said that I could be semi-afk and fish whilst watching films lol
