Well I haven’t been much of a fisher thus far in the game. However fishing in DF feels a bit unattended comparing to other gathering profs. Here is why:
There is only 1 item slot, which is for rod. There could be hat and bucket slots maybe. Need at least two more slots.
There aren’t any specilization in fishing which feels dull after you reach 100 skill and there are no rooms for improvement. There could be more definetely.
There are no interesting items (like Anglers raft, Hat etc. in MoP back in the day) which you can gather for fishing from rep. Again there are no room for improving fishing experience right there.
These are my ideas briefly explained. I wanna know what people think about it.
I think it’s because there are existing fishing hats (and boots) that actually grant transmog and turning them into fishing equipment would mess it up. Still I think Blizzard is kinda lazy for not having a more nuanced solution like giving Nat’s hats achievements that reward the transmog instead or something like that.
i want to be able to use the fishing net for normal fishing, that or tnt. Just to harvest fish schools/nodes in one go like you can do with mining and herbing
Thanks, i saw that but couldnt find its name.My googles only led to the anglers raft in MOP and i dont want to grind rep with them just for that. This makes getting some fishes in the fishing hole much easier
There’s also Gnarlwood Waveboard which can be bought with currency from island expeditions. Don’t know which is easier to get but neither requires reputation.

Yeah, the lack of fishing equipment slots really sucks. Really, I’d just like if profession equipment could be mogged to, the alchemy and enchanting hats are lovely, for instance.
