Is Fishing in WOTLK worth for farming GOLD?

Generally speaking, no. It is an income, but slower than other forms of farming, and fish prices will be heavily contested by bots. You will be hard pressed to get even anywhere near 100g/hour most likely.
Another thing to consider is raids will use feasts for food buff, and the meat feast will be more popular than fish feast simply by virtue of it being easier to look up in AH.

Never mind, I remembered it wrong, after looking up some numbers, it seems fish feast is actually BiS buff.
So the three fish in this recipe will sell like hot cakes and will be heavily contested by bots:

Probably won’t be very valuable past the first 2 weeks.
One reason is that peoplebwill farm the turtle mount and there’s a chance thr AH will be flooded.

what is the turtle mount? you can sell it in AH? its bop i think

For the Achievement “Turtles all the Way Down” plus it is a mount (the only one?) that does not disappear in water and / or has higher movement speed there. AND it’s fun to have! I’ll hunt it!!

It’s BOP and takes around 1000 casts to get it … that’s quite a bit of fish.

That’s a general number. In WotL I got it in 15 minutes, while my son spent 2 days on it. And remember to fish in schols to get it :wink: While it can drop in open water the chances there are like chances for the Love Rocket - like 0.0001 %

I used to fish the Dalaran fountain near the Fishing trainer and daily quest giver.

For goldfish I think.

There’s gold in that fountain? and the achievement for getting all those coins? Oh, the memories.

I’m not sure I’ll do this again. It took me literally months! … but then again, it’s needed for the title Salty :wink:

Yes, good memories. Salty title was only title I cared about back then, not mounts, not raid achievements, just Salty.
I dont think I will go for it again though
