It would be nice if there was a Hallowfall fishing quest given on saturdays to fish up all of the fish which provide Derby Marks in one go whilst under the effects of the fishing buff. Its not that hard Ive done it 3 times in a row. But its not certain due to the difficulty of fishing up the Pale Huskfish
I thought we had a chance to fish Derby Marks as long as we had the buff, regardless of what we fish up outside of the quest.

that is true. We do get 1 Mark per unique fish while having the buff regardless of the fish requirements of the quest + 10 Marks on completion.
I think OP advocates for added “difficulty” for the quest by extending the requirments.
I dont think it needs to be implemented as a requirement. You can pretty much give that quest to yourself if you want to.
