A fellow newbie healer monk here. Just picked up monk raid healing in Battle of Dazar’alor and been doin it since in Eternal Palace. I feel like with the disc priest and holy pally in my guild, i fell behind a lot cause when i healing my brains off i do 50k max and then they out there smiling at me chillin with their 60k-65k hps. And i’ve been wondering that fistweavin is a thing now. I tested it in normal raid and i think it’s maybe viable and fun.
I specced with RJW and Rising Mist and Conflict essence for the crane. I used mist on CD and when raid dmg came i fully channeled essence font popped RJW and rising sun kick and followed with the meele rotation. i did like 40-50k HPS in normal just like this. and my dps was pretty much fine. I know it’s only normal raid but i tought it was really FUN and it felt like it’s how monks should heal.
What are you toughts about fistweaving. Do you think it can be a thing? Or it was just my bad setup with the grp and the normal raid
Conflict and Strife is our best Essence for a lot of fights (in Mythic).
As for Rising Mist; you really don’t want to play with it. In normal/heroic it doesn’t matter, but it’s just strictly inferior to Upwelling. It also has no interaction with Conflict and Strife, so it’s not like using C&S makes Rising Mist any better. If you’re just doing normal/heroic then go ahead, use whatever you think is most fun.
Disc and Holy Paladins are broken right now, so don’t worry about falling behind.

In my opinion i find the expensions of warcraft to get worse and worse. When monks where first introduced there was something called fistweaving and it was a lot of fun on most boss fights no matter the stance switching.
Few expension later you can’t even call it fistweaving anymore when its so far behind a disp priest and holy paladin and i agree they are broken right now.
But i doubt that blizzard wil ever make fistweaving fun again. Also because of the reason of the essence Conflict and Strife, in order to get that you need to do PVP and as a PVE player i absolutly hate PVP. If blizzard goes on with this path of making other classes dps/healer better than a monk, i will just quit.
You don’t really need to pvp to get conflict and strife if you really really hate it, you just need to cap your 500 conquest bar which you can do with assault wqs with warmode on (60 conquests for each one)
