Fistweaving advice

Hi all,
Thinking of playing mistweaver for Dragonflight, I’ve been a resto druid main for a while now, but a bit underwhelmed by the changes coming to the talent tree compared to other healers.
I’ve done as much research as I can, and MW seems to be highly regarded both in terms of fun and performance for dragonflight.
One concern I’ve seen raised a few times though is fistweaving’s ability to sustain healing through longer boss fights when you only have one target to hit (I’m doing M+ rather than raiding).
I’ve not seen anyone indicate how strong a concern this is (is it only really an issue with really long tyrannical bosses in high keys, or across the board) or how to adjust your rotation/talent build etc to counter this.

What are people’s thoughts about this concern, and how would you recommend a MW should change their play to negate this?

Thanks in advance!

If you’re limited to 1 target, just keep renewing mists out on people and cleave heal with vivify while doing your normal dps rotation. You could take spirit of the crane and mana tea if you’re struggling to keep mana, SotC for passive regen and MT for heavy vivify spam. Chi-ji is another great mana save while also being a strong HPS CD.

As a Fistweaver, with my past experience playing it in BFA (wihich is the nearest iteration), in raid, Fistweaven was playing the same way a discipline priest did in legion, you had to prepare and ramp a while before the damage occured, but when it came, we could lonely negate the damage burst phase of a boss.

Dont expect to play the constant HPS game with a fistweaver. It’s more of a Burstier heal that will be able to regen his mana in between burst, relying on a Sham, a Druid or a Holy Priest to smooth the curve.

In Dungeon, if you’re in control, you should be able to regen while hitting mobs. The mana problem comes when you have you have to emergency heal your group. If you are well prepared, it should not happens, but prepare yourself to study each pattern of each dungeons to know when damage spikes occurs.
