Fix the old raids please!

So I just thought Id go back and do Uldir for the transmog (LFR coz it was my favourite colour anyways!).
I was pottering through quite merrily and was thrilled when I got every missing piece to drop except the head and belt…

which drops from Zul. Who apparently cant be soloed.

It seems like alot of the BFA raid bosses cant be soloed due to mechanics. Soloing old raids is quite a popular pastime for alot of people. It sucks that you cant complete so many of the ‘newer’ ones.
Shouldnt there be a work around by now?

Which makes Dragonflight a very bad expansion though

That’s why we can’t solo BFA raids in normal at the start of Dragonflight

Only blizzard knows, i think many players who thinks that legacy content is minus 2 expansions need to revert their thoughts. It is clear to me that blizzard changes this again, else they would have done something about it already.

If or if not, i also would like that but it seems that blizzard are aware that sone players stopped the ilvl treadmill to go on hunt for cosmetics instead and that they want to prolong them as well making it harder to get. That means that you will need to gear up and buy latest expansion and content to be able to solo older raids and dgs.

This is a commercial decesion snd nothing else.

1 expansion back for Dungeons and 2 for raids seems like a reasonable time to wait for. This was how it was in WoD to BFA. In SL I ran into the borked BFA scaling which made it tough, although by the end of SL I could solo BFA dungeons and Legion raids.
I’ve read that BFA has been rescaled, does this make them harder to run again?

On normal mode yes, i think herpic mode are easy. The mobs are lvl 60 in normal mode, but 50 in heroic mode. But heroic is 1 per day.

Good to hear, I assume the same for Mythic (once per week) and this is where the Glory achieves are. I started doing them but gave up at some stage (think I ran in to too many that can’t be soloed).

But during the Legion we solo’d Draenor raids in normal without any problem, and nerfed Gorefiend before 7.2

Also in BFA they allowed us to solo Gul’dan normal in 8.0 and 8.1, also Normal Argus too

Perhaps well geared players were able to. But yeah, things are getting tougher which isn’t great for the game.

Funny, cause we whiped on KJ and Fallen avatar with endgame sl gear.

Yep, when they changed the gear system in dragonflight prepatch, then went a huge problem

But in 9.1.5 and 9.2 I solo’d Argus mythic and Kil’Jaeden Mythic in Warrior

Although, Kil’Jaeden was hard to move the sides from the bombs during the darkness

OK, I didn’t do those yet. I was farming the Nighthold set on my DK and Shammy. So ran Nighthold and Emerald Nightmare as they had some of the set too.
I’m not great at the game and I was in ZM 252 gear so I assumed if I can do Nighthold others must be cake-walking the others…

yet, i don’t think that makes a Whole Xpac bad, let’s give them time since i think that they will remove the old BFA mechanics from older raids to make them more soloable.

Sure…you could. But I think alot of people enjoy running them as just a chill solo experience, taking someone else would defeat the purpose.

It just sucks that BFA has such a high proportion of mechanics in the raids that can’t be soloed, no matter your ilvl or skill.:slightly_frowning_face:

False Argus was not fixed until mid way through SL and the fixes only work for solo players . If you can in as 2 the fights are scaled harder.

Not it is not and you talk this rubbish every were it is not the expac fault that legecy content is bad its the dev’s. Your spam is annoying now.

Fully agree, and full support on this!

Because they messed up the scaling big time in SL, and it even happened 2 times, once in the SL pre-patch, and 2nd time in the DF pre-patch. It was easier to solo mythic Legion raids with 8.3 gear, corruptions and essences, than it was during SL. From a HAVOC DH pov, it’s even on youtube - one guy showcased how easy it was to solo Argus on mythic at the end of BFA, while I couldn’t solo it in SL until I had like 240 ilvl (melee hits + scythes would hit too much).

I think so too. I spent much of SL Season 4 ignoring “current” expack and just farmed old raids and dungeons. I imagine that looks bad for metrics for shareholders.
