Why is STV the PvP zone and not Arathi Highlands?
If this info is correct it will make STV definition of HELL. It will turn 1 whole zone into unplayable mess.
And yes… Arathi will be really cool zone for new pvp event
PvE servers FTW.
No seriously, STV has always like this anyway.
Assuming this is true:
On paper it looks great, STV has always been one of the best wild pvp zones, but with the current WoW community… It’s going to be a mess of abuse and exploits of all kinds. The fun will disappear as quickly as with the premades in WSG.
Unfortunately.
No need to spoil it for myself, I’ll wait for the real thing in a couple weeks. Either way I’m owning some allies. Thanks for the post tho skip.
Maybe because Arathi Highlands is barren.
Completely uninteresting zone that makes you feel like you are in the alpha of testing WoW.
They already said with announcing when p2 is coming that STV is the pvp zone for p2
Blizzard… why you just cant give us GOOD open world PvP EVENT/Zone? I know its too late…BUT! Just make AV like thing in the open world ffs…
*this is not a finished IDEA - mostly because I know it will never be considered
2 potential zones for pvp events/zones - STV or Arathi
1. STV: Goblin supply wars
A and H fight each other over resources to fuel their war efforts. And as we know…
GOBLINS are greedy and do what ever they can to make easy money with without putting their arses into risk.
- in STV there would be Permanent location that would serve as PvP HUBs - Mine, Oil tower, Lumber mill, Old ruins, Caravan/supply Camps,
- there would be several daily qeusts - PvP Oriented - kill XTY players from opposite factions, kill XY NPCs from oposite factions, Assault enemy “base”, Protect friendly “base”,…
rewards would be standard, some rep, silver/gold, small things in general - Also killing XY mobs in the zone would drop resources like in AV BG to make your forces stronger - when turned in as repeatable Q
- each action contribute POINTs - when max points are reached a Battle Caravan is spawned moving from point A to point B
Victory point would be to make sure your caravan makes it, or to stop oposite factions caravan - reward would be…?
…maybe just something small to make ppl interested while turning PvP into somewhat “proffitable” activity
2. Arathi Domination
this would be connected to Shadowy Figure - Arathi is close to the impact area and it is full of elementals
Impact and the Shadowy Figure disrupted natural flow of elemental powers in Arathi. All elemental shrines are now in chaos spawning more elementals.
Both A and H see this as opportunity to gather some magical resources and seise the control ower elemental shrines.
- Shrines are now PvP objectives where each faction have their NPCs trying to control the shrine - players will have to help their NPCs to eliminate oposite faction NPCs
and take control over the shrine - there would be also new NPCs present in the area - Twilight Cult spawning close to already secured Shrines trying to take control
- there would be several daily qeusts - PvP Oriented - kill XTY players from opposite factions, kill XY NPCs from oposite factions, Assault enemy “Shrine”, Protect friendly “Shrine”,…
rewards would be standard, some rep, silver/gold, small things in general - Also killing XY mobs in the zone would drop resources like in AV BG to make your forces stronger - when turned in as repeatable Q
- each action contribute POINTs for every Shrine controlled and Every player killed around ANY SHRINE area - when max points are reached each faction would summon their champion.
- This Force woulod now roam the Arathi killing every enemy player. Team to reach first XY kills would take controll over Arathi - Champion would give a Q reward -
…angain maybe just something small to make ppl interested while turning PvP into somewhat “proffitable” activity or shorter duration WB… something!
form raids, race to where scouts say minibosses spawn, and find someone engaged - kill them, then boss, and repeat until big boss pops. win some loose some - tbf, it sounds better than AV (which turned into ashenvale, a PVE race to cap)
my issue with this is more that on wild grpwth pve its like 60-40 ally and slowly toppling the horde, who almost always loose ashenvale runs. if that happens in stv, that mite topple it.
Because Horde needs 2 flightpaths like in ashenvale.
That’s what they did with Ashenvale, a boring boss rush.
True didnt even think about this lol, 60IQ Blizzard devs
