For the love of god, when the player base finds a new interesting way of playing your game you change it in less than 24h.
Ever since it was announced druids could use polearms and I saw vendorstrike with proccs and feral AP I thought, could it be possible that blizzard are opening new interesting ideas??
I know from since classic launch that the flame shield from Flame Wrath is scaling 1:1 with spell damage (I used to 2H meme tank dungeons on my spell power paladin in classic era). So it’s not a bug, and you obviously intend for druids to benefit from “Chance on hit effects”.
So for the love of god, why ruin this fun new play style where druids gets to play a hybrid build where they have to balance spell damage gear with defense and armor gear.
The build sure deals a lot damage (under the right circumstances), but it has its drawbacks. Threat from reflective damage is 0 or at least close to 0. And because of the lacking of defensive stats the build is of course squishier.
So, why remove it all together instead of just tweaking the spell damage scaling?
