uhh hello, the whole point of wanting this 2set bonus was to stack it with flurry.
when the set bonus procs it just overwrites flurry from talents, making this 2set bonus garbage when paired with Flurry.
this sucks, please allow me to stack them or change the 2set bonus.
what a complete buzzkiller.
i suppose this frees up 5 talent points for me, but that’s not exactly what i would expect from a set bonus, and its still not cool because the options available for talents alternative to Flurry are bad.
can you get some aspects of design done right please?
thanks.
Im pretty sure its like it should be. T2 bonus allows you to proc flurry from mitigation stats instead of critical strikes. If Tank had both it would be overpowered with 60% melee haste. Also Toughness talent is in the same row with Flurry so they want you to take that 10% armor bonus.
bro i white hit for like 100 damage per swing because shaman tank gear has no physical stats i.e attack power… “overpowered” really?
at best i’d be able to get aggro on creatures that are immune to magic, like the skeletons in scholomance near jandice, and still have to sit there and hit them 30 times before they die.
and that’s with improved rockbiter.
i already had that talented too, so how is that even an argument/reason to make the 2set bonus crap?
change it or make it stack with flurry because this is bad.
2set bonus isn’t crap. Just dont take Flurry because blizzard dont want you to take flurry. Also i meant 60% haste could be OP for 2h pvp.
Flurry requires critical strike rating, but as a tank you want mitigation stats.
Also, as a Tank Shaman you dont need attack power in gear because Rockbiter gives you passive 600 attack power. So wtf are you talking about.
Yeah, Magic immune mobs sucks. But thats the flavour of Vanilla. I could generate extra threat thanks to bleeds but guess what; half of molten core is immune to bleeds.
I check’d 3 separated classic databases and all shows me that Rockbiter Weapon Rank 7 grants 653 attack power.
I was wrong with Shield Mastery, because it grants 2 spell power instead of 4 attack power per defense point.
well you’d be running around using a 2H with tank gear so i dunno how effective that would be, and the defensive flurry is from dodge, parries and blocks, so you’d be down one aspect by virtue of being unable to block.
and if that’s truly the issue, just change the bonus so it requires a shield to work like they’ve done with every other shaman rune that was exploited for dps gains.
wtf are YOU talking about?
rockbiter gives 195 attack power WHEN TALENTED because they gutted it many moons ago.
this is wrong too btw.
do you play SOD?
seems you don’t.
You still have around 15% chance to proc it from criticals and around 15% chance to proc it from dodge/parry. So you could very often have ~60% haste. With 2h 3.60 weapon it would reduce its speed to 1.74 plus 50% passive weapon speed from Two Handed Weapon Specialization rune allowing you to triple your Windfury procs in situations like solo content and pvp.
Its funny, because i couldn’t find a single mention about Rockbiter being nerfed. Stealth-nerfs sucks Blizzard.
No, im not playing Season of Discovery. Thats why im using my Season of Discovery character to discuss on Season of Discovery Forums. If you dont agree magic immune mobs, your post should be titled “Magic immune mobs dont allow me to tank as a Shaman”.
well its somewhere in one of the patch notes for SOD.
they gutted the AP aspect because shamans were using double rockbiter dual wield to tank and top dps in phase 2.
most classes were running around with like 250 AP at lvl 40 while shamans were rocking 1000+ and that was with way of earth tagged on as a bonus lol.
the reason i’m asking is because immunities were removed from mobs and bosses inside raids, which means everything bleeds and takes fire damage.
they did this to prevent running into issues that popped up during phase 2 where the mobs in raid were largely immune to bleed, poison and certain types of spell damage.
like, how would a warlock or shaman tank in MC if everything is immune to fire?
many issues like that, so they just curbed it entirely.
