so ive recently come back to the game and started playing again yesterday was flying around exploring and today i now cant fly atall anywhere and i have no idea why any help would be great as i cant find anything as to why
with the new patch which allows for most flying mounts to use dragonflying and by default dragonflying set as flight mode you need to go to your spellbook → general → and set Skyriding to switch flight style. Hope that helps. Best to drag the skyriding icon to your action bar so its easy for you to change to skyriding or change to the normal mode.

Hi Im having the same problem. But, Ive been to my spellbook - general and there is no skyriding option.
It’s not in the spellbook. It’s in the mount journal.
You know, where you can see your mounts, pets and such.
I have no such option. My character is level 51. I’ve looked every where and tried everything but flying just won’t work
I had the same problem but I think I have unfortunately found the answer. As the default flying is now skyriding which used to be dragonriding there is a pre-requisite - having Dragonflight. As I don’t , I have a level 59 character who is unable to fly, anywhere. Dragonflight is no longer listed as purchasable so in order to play the game I was playing yesterday I would be obliged to spend a minimum of £39.99. If they thought this through they must have decided they didn’t care.
So, hwhile you can’t play yesterdays’ 10.2.7 build, you can still get Dragonflight and The War Within for £39.99.
I just went on an account that doesn’t have Dragonflight, and I was able to Dragonride/Skyride. Unfortunately, they are too low to try the regular flying, as I tested it on a fresh level 10 
Yeah i looked there as well and there is no option to change it. I click on the mount, then cursor over the small image and i dont get any option to toggle between flight types
Open your mount page, at the top there is a drop down menu that shows Skyriding, Skills and Unlocks and Switch Flight Style, click the Switch flight style (bottom button) then you can fly again. This can also be moved onto your action bars so you can change between Skyriding and Normal flight modes.

It’s also in the Spellbook, General tab.
Click Skyriding button to expand it, it’s in there.
