If you ask people who don’t like something, whether they like it, they are going to tell you they don’t like it.
Bit like when someone is informed they have no basis for a negative claim, they get shirty and condescending, to the point they state they will not repeat themselves a third time, also calling the other individual ‘dense’ for pointing out they have no basis for the negative claim…then, being proved comprehensively wrong in their negative claim, yet both failing to man up…and claiming they have nothing to apologise for.
I think if the flying had been per-account, you would have been back on this thread demanding your apology, very loudly.
On to more interesting things, while Blizzcon itself was completely unspectacular, at least wrt WoW, there’s one thing that could be good - they are “thinking” about maybe going back to the double-ilvl system for PVP gear like in WoD.
I never called you names as said, I critiqued your post approach and called you pessimistic after you called yourself pessimistic. Oh the horror. You should apologize to that dude you called dense for correctly interpreting the text that you personally disagreed with, simply because he disagreed with you. After all, that’s actual name-calling.
Imagine my surprise when you now declare there’s nothing for you to make good with. If there’s one thing thing that’s as reliable as the sun rising it’s that wow forum posters lack the humility to throw up their hands and go “my bad” or even “I guess I was wrong”. No no no. Far better to engage in a meh-riddled whataboutism huh?
Whatever. Point is your negative take was revealed as exactly that, your blinders taking over and yet you’ll still convince yourself you’re the only one viewing things objectively. If it makes you happy you knock yourself out.
I posted a concern. Do you see the question mark in the title? The concern was not wrong. There was a bad outcome and a good outcome possible, I was worried that we might get the bad one. We got the good one. I am grateful for that. But this doesn’t make the concern wrong, we have been getting bad outcomes plenty before and, frankly, got plenty of them right in this Blizzcon (no fixes for many big issues, the game is in shambles).
I have no issues saying that I was wrong when I actually am wrong, I did that several times on this forum. I was not wrong in this case, deal with it.
And yes, you called me names. Read your posts. This is the only reason I wanted an apology.
You posted a negative claim, then got annoyed when peeps pointed out you had no basis for the claim and were creating a drama thread…read the title…‘Flying in SL is per-character? WTF!’… and now don’t have the cojones to just say ‘My bad peeps, you were correct, I made an assumption I shouldn’t have.’
Instead, you are now trying to change the subject to other negativity, to cover your embarrassment… this is why peeps don’t take Edgelords seriously.
I apologize for the dramarama remark I forgot about that. Nothing else warrants it however.
I’m pleased you’re pleased you were wrong here. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t take glee in other players misery of the game. Conversely I want those in the game to enjoy it as much as possible. I just find frame of mind is just as important to this as what blizzard does or doesn’t do.
Anyway, no personal beef. Look to the other hints, the PvP gear speculation for example. This is more evidence blizz are trying to listen this time around. It doesn’t mean SL is or will be perfect, but it does suggest that if they to be clear on what we like and why, and dislike and why, change may come. I mean they didn’t pull the WoD idea from nowhere, players have argued for it for months due to the situation in the early rated brackets for Alts, being faced off with heroic geared pvers fishing for weapons and whatnot giving them a harder climb than 1.8 or higher!
So continue stating what we want but with good arguments and reasons why and there may be hope. I can’t make you an optimist, but maybe (hopefully) SL will surprise us all.
I agree they are trying to listen. I’ll say right now that if they actually implement double-ilvl PVP gear with sensible ilvls, like in WoD, I will applaud them and will tolerate a lot of other nonsense that they might do - because that change will allow me to ignore it.
Yes, let’s hope SL will contain some gems like that.
Pretty sure story completion has always been a pathfinder requirement so this doesn’t has to mean it’s per character
WoD had you completing Tanaan IIRC?
Legion had you completing Broken Shore
BFA had you completing Naz’jatar
