Flying Mounts

Blizz why can’t some flying mounts fly?! Like the Fallen Charger and Midnight?! The Headless Horsemans mount and many others can fly but midnight or any of the fallen chargers can’t, They’re ghostly horses just like Blanchy and their designs are amazing but there’s no reason to use them?! why?!

Agreed, they should be able to fly. I especially really like the maw horses, they got so cool armor and go so well with my dk’s.

Right?! Me and my bf just spent the evening grinding the Torghast achievement one, not hard I know but disappointed to learn the mount cannot fly…

I disagree that Midnight should fly. Its cool enough as it is and tbh they shouldn’t ruin it with bad walk-flying animations.

The Maw horses? Defo.

Midnight doesnt have wings

Nor does Blanchy or the headless horsemans mount, whats your point?

There’s so many gifs and pics to repost lately. :smiling_face_with_tear:

To add, I wish the slime cat could fly. Or the Rivendare charger as well (if I manage to get it anytime soon which I doubt).

Then again, all our wonderful mounts will get replaced by a handful of boring dragons as soon as DF drops, which is a real shame, but I guess in that case we don’t need to be to concerned by not being able to use some of them to fly.

They will most likely become a flying mounts in future patch just like the courser mounts in Legion.

Maybe its because they are undead/corpse mounts whereas Blanchy and Horsemans mount are spectral/ghostly mounts so the dont actually have bodies as such?

Although that doesnt explain why the unicorns can fly…or why rainbows dont shoot out of their butts when they do (I have been reliable informed that flying unicorns shoot butt rainbows and I feel very cheated!).

But the Mawsworn Charger is a Ghostly horse aswell?!

Sadly one commenter is right about the dragon mounts but they are only usable in Dragonflight Zones (I tested only Dracthyr can fly dragonride outside of Dragon Isles) so you will be using regular flying mounts outside of that area, as you cannot even summon your Dragons in the rest of Azeroth.

I can’t stress how much I support this. Midnight would be my favourite mount if only it could fly. But it doesn’t, so it gets demoted to just being a showy AFK-in-city mount.

There’s no reason why it, and others already mentioned shouldn’t fly.
