Good evening, I would like to protest about this mockery of flying mounts. I dont want to mention the 79.99e that was optional for everyone to get, but i will mention the huge gap of a 60% mount speed vs 280% . I mean come on. Make it at least 100% its not logical we suffer watching this giant netherdrake taking off its like and c130 without juice. Fix that thing plz. It will make more comfort the gaming experience for our 3rd time in TBC..

It actually hurts your eyes to watch 60% flying. Should be 150% and then 280%

What is even more annoying is the 60% ground speed.. with flying requiring ground 100% youâd expect that all flying mounts would run on the ground for 100% atleast, but no, because flying is the abysmal 60% so to will the ground speed be.
Guess weâll have to wait until WOTLK for the flying mount fix to be 150% (but even there the flying mounts are 60% on the ground)

It was to retain players, the flying mount 60% was only there for a demo, it was to encourage the player to continue playing for hours to farm the thousands of gold necessary for the real flying mount at 280%. For blizzard players time = money.
the only people that have max flying are the boosting community who made tons of gold and indeed 60% does feel like garbage. goodluck farming nodes against boosters with max flying

Back then, achievements in WoW still felt semi-permanent, so the time investment was a lot more justifiable.
The âneedâ for a 5k mount in a short-lived faster-paced re-rerun of TBC (with overcrowded servers preventing earning that gold via gathering or farming mobs in the world) will just encourage RMT and botting.
Increasing the speed of âslow flyingâ to something more reasonable might have been a way to encourage players to just stick with the basic mount rather than swiping.

Itâs hilarious watching that store mount take off while a paladin pushes the crusader aura on their 100% ground mount.
Given itâs 2026 and they want TBC wrapped up by Christmas, yeah Iâd say make 100% speed for the slow flying.
If, IF this was to become a TBC era then no, leave it as it is.
These dudes wont settle for getting it now, they want it yesterday.

My post was satirical, I am not a toxic egoist like too many in this game and on this forum. I consider the game much more fun when the majority of players play on an equal footing than the current version which rewards /played and not quality or prowess.
WoW Classic should be there to relive the good sides, not the bad.
