Flying on new isle

So is it me or is the flying not account wide i tried finding some info but could not.

No it is per character. You need to unlock it for each one. Given its a dumb follow the instruction quest, I guess they saw no need to make it account wide. Just annoying though if you are one of those with a million alts.

I am more peeved that now that we have the final upgrade and there really is no reason to return, what was the point of locking flying for six weeks. Nobody is going to go back to that bore fest.

Nope, character bound sadly.
Meaning i will just drop the island completely on alts. Not like i was bothering anyways😂

That appears to be the case, did it on my main and main alt, but I´m probably not going to invest the effort on any more chars…

What´s interesting is that on alts, it doesn´t actually show that you´ll unlock flying in the quest, which leads me to believe that it may actually be intended to be account wide, in line with most other unlocks, but for some reason isn’t…

NA players complained on Reddit yesterday about it not being account-wide. I just finished this last bit on my main, and that’s it for Siren Isle, absolutely no reason to go back.

I am just there for my ring when it is max i will never go back. Dont no even if my flying is unlock on my main

Flying is just to make it easier to farm currency for tmogs now that the mini patch has been replaced with Timeways / Plunderstorm. It’s not a short-cut to allow players to get easy power boost for barely-played alts.

The lack of flying was there so that we had to engage with the content when it was “cutrent”. I get why many players want flying everywhere all the time, but personally I appreciate travelling at ground level when content is new.

I’ve yet to enter Siren Isle… I’m such a procrastinator, thought you couldn’t fly in it… :nerd_face:

I felt like that with Nazjatar. By the time I’d done the rep grind and unlocked flying I was sick of the place and didn’t really go back to do anything. Loads of achievements there that I just cba to even look at now all these years later.

As for this new isle, I went there once just to see the place. Got a ring with a single gem and left. I likely won’t go back.

Unti today, you couldn´t, it requires you to fully upgrade the ring /complete the entire SI MSQ. :wink:

Do people actually go there after they done the ring upgrade quest? Everytime I went there last week it was just tumbleweeds.

So, long story sort, I was right? :rofl:

It probably was but it was simply overlooked to set the modifier, it was almost certainly literally just an overlooked checkmark or 1/0 in the database.

They are still human, after all, and this isn´t exactly a game breaking issue, more like a minor inconvenience … I’d much rather see things like this get overlooked than continue to watch Rash’anan yeet entire raids off the platform despite everyone soaking :beers:

Oh, I agree this is absolutely minor.
But it’s just yet another thing in the many lists of the issues every single patch that get hotfixed after that could have so easily been tested…
