Foliage-Filled Player Housing

Azeroth is overflowing with incredible flora — from the ghostly mushrooms of Zangarmarsh to the glowing wildflowers of Ardenweald. Every region has its own distinct ecosystem, teeming with magical and mundane plant life that tells stories, sets mood, and makes the world feel alive. These aren’t just pretty backdrops — they’re part of the soul of Warcraft. And with player housing officially on the horizon, I see a unique opportunity to bring that world home with us.

Let Plants Be Part of Our Homes
I imagine a space filled with plants I’ve discovered across Azeroth: Big leafy ferns near the hearth, flowering vines crawling along wooden beams, sun-drenched corners full of herbs and magical blooms, cozy porches lined with hanging baskets, and lush outdoor gardens themed by zone — from the mystical to the serene. Whether it’s a tidy herb garden, a tranquil woodland patch, or a full-on jungle sanctuary, may we design the green spaces that reflect our travels? Player housing is meant to be about immersion, identity, and expression right? Nothing captures that more than surrounding ourselves with greenery from our travels — inside and outside our homes.

A Greenhouse
One of the most exciting possibilities is the idea of building a glass-walled sunroom or greenhouse — a structure with large windows maybe even a glass ceiling, flooding the space with natural light. This could be a build option or modular feature for players who want their homes to feel open, bright, and brimming with life. Imagine a sunroom bathed in afternoon light where delicate plants thrive. A cozy nook with a view of your garden. Glass porches where you can relax and watch the seasons change. Or a magical floral corner glowing with rare enchanted plants from far-off zones…

Propagating Azeroth’s Flora
Beyond placing plants as décor, what if we could collect (and grow) them ourselves? While adventuring, we could gather seeds, cuttings, spores, or magical offshoots of the plants we find in the world — not for crafting or progression, but simply as living souvenirs. Simple systems could support this without overcomplication: harvesting items from zones & placing them in planters or garden plots.
You find a rare flower in Pandaria? Discover a glowing root in the Emerald Dream? Bring it home, cultivate it in your garden. Over time, our homes would become botanical diaries, each plant representing a place, a memory, a story.

Calm & Creativity
Adding a botanical system to player housing would give players a peaceful outlet, a way to unwind after raids, keys, PvP — or just space to log on and relax.
Let us have indoor plant placement flexibility - on tables, hanging from shelves, wrapping around beams, growing up climbing walls. Let us theme our outdoor gardens - create a Stormsong Valley grove or a Maldraxxus oddities patch. Let us build greenhouses, sunrooms, porches, and peaceful botanical retreats.

Final Thought
As the dev team builds player housing, I can only hope systems like this are considered. Azeroth is already full of breathtaking plants — why not give us the tools to bring that wonder home? Let our homes breathe with vines, moss, and magic. Let us create cozy, living sanctuaries that are extensions of the world we’ve explored and loved for years.
