Hi Everybody,
Can we please, please, please do something about follower dungeons in world pvp? It’s becoming unplayable. World pvp is already in such a bad spot due to various other factors which I’ll not get into right now.
Follower dungeon spammers are ruining the experience for everybody playing this game. There’s a macro which insta-ques you in a follower dungeon and it pops in 2 seconds, effectively making you avoid death 99.99% of the time. It’s been going on for a loooong time and at this point there’s so many people doing it that it’s literally becoming unplayable. Used to be there were 2-3 weirdos spamming it which wasn’t a big deal, but even then it was extremely disruptive to the game.
Nowadays, every third guy you run into in warmode will just dip as soon as he smells trouble.
The solution (I believe) is quite simple - make it so you cannot queue follower dungeons with warmode on and it’s problem solved. No PVPer does these anyways, and if u wanna do them, HS back to the city and turn warmode off and enjoy yourself.
Making it unavailable in combat would still leave a LOT of room for abuse since people can just meld/vanish/feign/invis etc to de-combat and press their macro.
Anybody willing to test this - please feel free to use the macro below. Just know that if I see you doing this you’re on my KOS
/click LFGDungeonReadyDialogEnterDungeonButton
/script C_PartyInfo.LeaveParty()
/click MicroMenuButton_LFG_Clicker
/click LFDQueueFrameFindGroupButton
Reporting these people apparently does nothing. Even though it is definitely an exploit and people used to get banned for this kinda stuff. I can go ahead and name names no problem & I’ve got multiple gigabytes of recordings of these guys constantly doing this.

I agree, it’s very annoying and extremely commonly abused.
I would recommend queueing of follower dungeons to be restricted when you are in PvP combat ( I.E. when your spells’ tooltips show the effect they do in PvP combat, etc. )

Don’t think that solves the issue dude. There’s a paragraph in the main post as to why:
“Making it unavailable in combat would still leave a LOT of room for abuse since people can just meld/vanish/feign/invis etc to de-combat and press their macro.”

Yes please, this is really annoying.
Make them be able to que when warmode off or like 20-30 seconds after exiting combat?

WPvP is a complete waste of time regardless, get rid off stuff like this.

That is called a peronal opinion and it does not belong in here.
Some people think Mythic plus and Raids are a waste of time, should they remove that aswell?
Same goes for 2v2,3v3,shuffle or blitz.
People enjoy different things and as a gaming company that implemented these things to begin with, they should try to make it most enjoyable for everyone. whatever players like to do.

that’s not what I was getting at. I agree that they should get rid of being able to enter a Follower dungeon in WPVP, but I still stand by my first statement. there is never a time where warmode wpvp is fun or fair when shards can be one sided, and partaking in it is a chore to get more conquest from the quests.

Honestly this needs some attention, this has made wpvp ridiculous.
Two things need to happen:
- follower dungeon ques needs to be enabled only after 20-30 seconds after combat.
- this needs to become a bannable offense. This is not the intent of it, they are abusing this against how it was intended. Follower dungeons are not for escaping combat / fights.
This is killing a game mode in wow (wpvp) which is completely not its intention. It needs a fix to go back to its true intention.

I completely agree with you about the follower dungeon issue in world PvP—it’s incredibly frustrating and detrimental to the experience for anyone who enjoys warmode. I’ve seen it happening more and more lately, and it’s definitely becoming a significant problem.
In my opinion, an additional step we could take is to introduce a cooldown before being able to requeue for another dungeon, similar to how normal dungeon cooldowns work. This would prevent people from abusing this exploit repeatedly in quick succession. Pairing this cooldown with your idea would make it much harder for these players to avoid world PvP by hopping in and out of dungeons every few seconds.
It’s frustrating that reporting doesn’t seem to address the issue right now, and I hope Blizzard takes note of posts like yours and works on fixing this. Thanks for bringing it up!

That’s one of the other Wpvp problems dude. There isn’t really any incentive, bloody tokens are useless at a certain point. You can’t even buy consumables with Bloody tokens or even transfer them to your alts for that early item boost. The only people still playing World PVP, play it because they enjoy it, like I do. There’s also multiple bugs, DKs not being able to use their “On the paler horse” talent when bounty hunted, practically punishing you for being good at the game. PVP items losing their PVP bonus and turning into their PVE versions mid-combat - you’re fighting when all of a sudden you realize your max hp is actually 5 mil and you do 0 dmg. And maaany more.
That being said, the main focus of this discussion should remain on the follower dungeons which is the biggest problem in my opinion, a problem in a gamemode that does indeed have many other shortcomings, but a big problem nevertheless.

If anything they should just reinstate pvp servers. Warmode isn’t really working anyway.
Catalyst was the most fun i had in a while in an expansion. But now its over sadly
