I know there is something wrong as I ran one dungeon several times and no loot dropped for me. Trash loot dropped okay, but zero drops from the bosses 3 times in a row. That can’t be right. Have I missed something?, is this a known bug or am I just unlucky.
I see no point running them if no loot drops from the bosses :\
I don’t know if it is a bug or not but I am relatively sure they don’t want people running them for gear drops. They are primarily for training and quest completion.
Based on the comments I have seen from other topics about follower dungeons you were just unlucky.
Gearing up is one of the stated goals of the feature:
“Follower Dungeons are a fun and easy way to sharpen your skills in Dragonflight dungeons, gear up, or spend quality time exploring with a friend or two alongside your new NPC friends.”

Huh. Interesting. Got to be the slowest way to do that though 
I think that overall it being slower is fine. It has to be if players want to learn what mechanics are the ones they need to look out for and what is considered dangerous.
By the looks of it that is what its main goal is, on top of allowing people the chance to finish questlines leading into dungeons.
Getting gear and XP from it is just an added bonus.
