So dead that the average wait time is 3 minutes for a dungeon with other players.

So dead that the average wait time is 3 minutes for a dungeon with other players connected to the entire realm region of the continent* aswell as open to both factions*

3 minutes is a really fast queue for a dps, far quicker than the height of Wrath (end expansion).

Normal dungeons are not cross faction. Only PuG content is.

I got my Ohanrahan Plains Sojourner today thanks to being able to do the dungeon quests.
Was actually fun, I like how I can set the tank to lead and I don’t need to figure out the map…

The problem isn’t that nobody is doing leveling dungeons. Plenty of people do and queues are usually short even for DPS. The problem is that everyone is rushing through leveling dungeons at an extremely brisk pace, one-shotting most things, even bosses.

If you’re a new or returning player, this is a terrible experience. You’ll not get quests done if your quest objectives are off the shortest, most efficient, fastest route – or you risk getting kicked for hanging back.

Similarly, if you want to try out and learn a new spec, how do you currently do this with real people? It’s no problem if you have friends who are willing to do this with you (that is, if they can bring themselves to stop pushing M+ keys or have alts they want to play), but if you don’t, what are you going to do?

Nobody wants a tank or a healer who is still trying out their skills and spells in “real” content, or practicing keybinds, or routes. It’s super stressful to do this in random groups, and not fun if you’re in a random group with someone who can’t keep up with healing or fails to hold aggro or doesn’t know where to go.

Follower dungeons address all of these issues. They don’t really compete with “serious” content, and players who want to level quickly will not use them anyway, because non-follower dungeons give substantially more XP and are faster.

Either way, follower dungeons only add to the game and don’t take anything away.

That’s honestly the fault of Blizzard for designing these dungeons this way. Or perhaps they should get rid of the queue and go back to inviting people. That way it’s better for these people that want to see their quests completed instead of relying on random strangers.
