For the love of god, do not increase raid reset timers!

I don’t know what people generally feel about this but would be interesting to hear your viewpoints on the topic.

This is based on the information from the Phase 3 introduction concerning the future of raids where 1 week reset-timers would/could be standardized.

I myself loved the fact that ZG, AQ20 and Onyxia was on shorter reset timers, just offered more to do throughout the week and you didn’t have to feel like you had to wait an entire week to this one specific day to have a small chance at progressing your character.
If everything resets the same day alot of people will just raid all relevant ones in a go and not play until next reset.

Raid logging in my opinion is the worst aspect of WoW.
If anything, i was hoping they’d reduce the other reset timers down to 3 or 4 days and fix droprates accordingly.

Raiding BFD & Gnomer on a 3 day reset is fine because they are a 20-40 min slap and only 10 man.

Getting 40 people to run MC, BWL, AQ 40 and naxx on a 3 day reset + whatever else they have cooked up for phase 4 would be very stressful for most people

there are no 40people raids, if you missed that part they are removed and are 20man now

Have you tried organising 20 people to get on a 20 man raid?

Have you tried doing it for a 2nd day because you haven’t cleared the raid fully?

I think it would of been best to have Sunken at 20 man and a lvl 50 SM 10-man Dungeon/raid but you can’t wish the world of this small dev team.

You don’t have to raid log. There is PvE content, PVP content, professions, gold, BoEs, Helping people, meeting new people, levelling alts and gambling.

Not my problem you classic andies wanted big raids now figure it out, for us retail players 10man is perfectly fine fast clear everyone gets 1-2 items

You’ve misunderstood something.
They’ve confirmed that Molten Core will be 20m, but they have also been very vocal about wanting to keep 40m raids since it’s such a iconic Classic thing.

On another note, 10m is a glorified dungeon without much flexibility in comps, 20m sounds like a great compromise to me.

I sure hope they make everything 40man than I can watch SOD die in less than a week and after that I can watch the classic andies cry how it was blizzards fault the game died

You alright mate?

Why is always about classic dying? We’re just tryna have a bit of fun

Why do you think it has to be one or the other?
Wouldn’t it be plausible that we get 10, 20 and 40 man raids?

Well you wouldn’t need to do them all. Itemization will be better and i don’t see people going back to mc and bwl if they’re somewhat naxx geared unless there’s some other incentive. They’ll most likely stick to 2 raids which they can clear in just a few hours.

I’m just afraid it will turn in to raid-logging bonanza like it was previously.
Having ZG/AQ20/Ony to do inbetween was atleast something else you could do while waiting. With that gone… i don’t know.
And now with these insane bg queues thats even one less thing to.

While waiting you could try season of real life instead of whining the forums just like many people with your mindset. Min/maxers are cancer for wow community

Calm down there mate. We’re just discussing it.
No need to sink to that level because you disagree.
I don’t like min/maxing either and that’s not what the post was about at all.
I don’t know what “mindset” you are on about…
The amount of time you’d need to spend when just raid-logging is like 3-4 hours a week.

Nobody in their right mind would even bother doing 40man, more then half of the raid will get 0 items from the run and the raid leader will suffer brain damage from the dad gamers

Well this is just not true at all, we already had two official iterations and people were doing it plenty. Not to mention the non-official ones.
The amount of loot was indeed very poor though.

Id say this is an overall win, especially for guild raids.

Finally being able to set a specific day for raiding is just way better for organizing etc than having a constantly changing raid schedule.

Could maybe improve the PuG raiding scene as well we will see.

For me overall this is a Blizzard W.

So don’t raid twice a week ? No reason to enforce it on everyone

There’s nothing to do beside raiding so now you have less reason to enter the game when you get to end game

Level 50 will be super boring. 1 week lock out on raid and BGs unplayable because 100% loss rate as alliance…there will be nothing to do.
Only way to enjoy the game would be to have 10 alts to raid with but I can’t stomach that much leveling, even with an XP boost.

we also have new nightmare PvE event, yes we don’t know will it be just for some hours (farm gear and leave) or it will be something more serious, but lets wait for more info.

He mad cuz retail bad

Most of theses activity are irrelevant if there’s no GDKP (outside of meeting new ppl/helping ppl). Why would I make golds ? For what ? Why would I level professions outside of crafting my BiS ? Why would I farm BoE if golds are sitting in my bags for nothing ? Why would I level alt to see raid leader alt+f4 mid raid with all the loots ?

You (not specifically you, but the community) turned SoD into SoR : Season Of Raidlogs with 1 character that you play in guild.

Keep coping with your PvE 30mn raid and “PvP” trash balance … it was fun to zugzug people in Ashenvale P1, but after 1000 HK and epic wrist farmed in WSG most people gave up like if they did R14 lmao. So boring …
