My usual response to reboots like this is, “Oh, no…” given how badly so many of them have gone. But considering that Highlander II exists, and the less said of Planet Zeist the better, I’m actually interested to see the outcome of this, should it go ahead.
So if Mr Cavill is off playing sword-roulette, who would be another strong contender for the role of Arthas? Perhaps, Robert Pattinson? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Jensen Ackles, imagine him with blonde long hair. Or Mark Pellegrino, he has a bit maniac look in his eyes.
I hope they don’t use Henry Cavill as Arthas, I mean, he can’t play all those epic game characters

Youthful Living Arthas? a Long haired Tom Hiddlestone. Jaded and twisted Lich King Arthas, a long haired Jason Isaacs.
Weirdly I could see Ray Winstone stepping into those shoes… Or, and hear me out here… Mandy Patinkin. He looks old and grizzled enough to fit the role, like he has seen some -stuff- in his time, and if you want someone to play the grizzled old Immortal who teaches Connor MacLeod, who better than the dude who played Inigo Montoya in ‘The Princess Bride’?
Do you remember warcraft movie? it was cool and all but it was not a big hit i don’t think movie about arthas will be any different
i rather see 5 seasons of witcher or new superman movies than henry wasting his time on Warcraft movie
There won’t be another live action Warcraft movie as the film company that holds the rights have stated as such, and even auctioned off the sets etc a few years ago.
I don’t want Henry in either of those rn… I want more Man of Steel!
That being said, I was never fond of Henry as Arthas anyway his face is too likable and not smug-princelike enough imo. But there are plenty of other roles he’d be suited for, pretty sure as a fan he’d be up for any role in a Warcraft movie anyway
Hmmm always lots of focus on Arthas, curious if (big hypothetical) there was a live action version of WoW, who people would pitch as racial leaders/core characters and why?
The only one that comes to my head is Luke Goss for Lor’themar Theron. Curious to see what others think.

Yes. And I’m sure the reason we got WOD as an expansion was to tie into that movie. I’m honestly not that interested in another WOW movie. A potentially good Highlander reboot though…
Me also. I never understood the obsession that people had a few months ago with casting him as Arthas (outside of him actually playing the game).
Is that because he was Prince Nuada in Hellboy II? But yeah, I could see that. I’d have to think for a bit about who I would cast for the other racial leaders (except maybe Danny DeVito for Gallywix).
I remember the series (with Duncan) being okay. But that eventually gave us Endgame, so it might be best to burn all sequels and continuations. Although I am very curious to see the animated series again since it’s been 25 years since I last saw it.
The WOW Reddit and other WOW fan sites seemed to be obsessed with it a little while back.
He did good as Nuada yes, but he’s a decent actor with capacity to play a bit of refined menace to him so that’s mainly why for me, the fact he’s aged a bit is good too as Lor isn’t some Instagram filtered elf and I think his features are fine enough. He also knows a fair bit of performance martial arts and swordplay so he’d be a good choice.
Also being a slaphead is a plus because it means it’s easier for them to give him the proper hairdo.
Devito is Gazlowe surely? Gallywix doesn’t have the same accent most other goblins have. I’d put devito as Gazlowe 100%. Gallywix, I’m not sure about. I mean devito could do it, but I think he’d be better as Gazlowe.
