Yeah don’t just bring personal loot back but force it. This need before greed system you have in raids is awful. Who the hell wants 3 of the same crossbow when you have no hunters in your raid.
I have no idea why they put loot rolling in LFR, I’ve seen people needing on items that are clear down grades or identical to what they are already wearing.
Like it’s actually unfair how this system works.
There is a solution : Stop Raid or Guild Raid.
Personnaly i only do mm+ because my time is precious and i dont have any hours to loose seeing retpaladin rolling on healer item or people winning item and /pm you trying to sell you the item.
Time is money friend.
Tbh I wouldn’t raid at all if they didn’t timegate tier behind it. But it is what it is.
They can’t need roll on the exact items they’ve currently got or have previously had even if since sold or destroyed. They can need roll on items that are below their current ilvl if they have never had that specific item at that specific ilvl.
Really that should be a transmog roll - but nobody has ever won a transmog in LFR. There’s always a bunch of people for whom it’s an ilvl upgrade, so there will always be need rolls. Rolling transmog is as good as a pass, and that negates the point of going to LFR.
It’s just a bad system for this particular content. Other raid levels I don’t mind about, but LFR should be personal loot.
Sure, we’d get times when our maxed out character finally drops a transmog and get’s 8x whispers “NEED???” but those can be ignored.
How does raiding with a guild solve the issue of group loot giving items nobody in the raid can even use?
Like when I killed diurna, the evoker staff dropped. There was no evoker in the raid.
Blizzard already had the perfect solution in place, and they just removed it and replaced it with a worse one, for some reason.
Best solution (imo): Loot in all group content is by default personal loot. If you are in a guild group, you have the option to turn on master loot. Restrictions on trading loot (based on ilvl) completely removed. Done.
yes no solution for that, except personnal loot
That doesn’t stop unwanted useless loot dropping tho.
Sorry I see someone else already pointed that out, my bad!
No thanks

I am all for personal loot in raids, usually dont have anything against rolling but yesterdays raid run killed me inside…
Me and one other hunter, 4 pieces of gear dropped and he won them all…
I did also run 5 mythics and didnt get any loot,
maybe I am cursed and in the end it doesnt even matter what type of loot system is used…
They removed PL because the same people that are whining that GL is bad… whined that Personal Loot was awful because they got nothing useful some weeks.
Now they get nothing at all…
They removed PL because of class stacking.
I remember the discussions about this in the forums.
You are 100% correct:
That is the official reason. High end guilds class stacking raids to cheat the system to getting more gear. Especially the RTWF guys.
But when this was announced, there was no overwhelming rejection of removing PL. Many people applauded this change argumenting that they would get more gear, or the worst offender :
“back in the glory days of classic wow we had master loot and it was awesome”…
So what blizz got was thousands of posts with a divided community. I am referring to those that did not want to see the facts :
They put PL for a reason in MoP… people forgot that…
I’m sure you’re right about the complaining too but it’s usually different groups but I don’t know for sure.
They make a change due to complaints then another group don’t like it. Like I was firmly in the I hate TF group because it devalues the reward so much because unless your drop TF etc it feels like you lost out. When it was removed it was a different group of players who complained because they did like it.
Even worse, they win the roll and ask in the raid if anyone wants to buy the win which they did not need to start with.
They get kicked, but that’s one item less for someone who DID need it.
Raiders need their transmog too. Think of the raiders.
Off spec maybe?
Simple solution roll tmog separately and winner gets the mog while someone who needs it gets the actual item
No, just by setting loot option : holy
but playing retpal + retgear all the time.
switch and switch and reswitch.
