Forced guild name change

I just logged on to World of Warcraft to find my guild, that I’ve had since 2012, have had a forced guild name change.

I did not receive any warning or reason WHY it got changed.

I’ve never gotten any complain about the guild name for the last 7 years, and it did not violate the WOW guild name policy.

Now I’m stuck with a random crappy guildname and Blizzard wants 20 EUR for me to change it. This is shixxy done, Blizz! Shame on you.

All I can imagine is that someone reported the original name as being against the rules. I would have expected the guild master to get an email which would have details of how to appeal against it.

Out of interest what was the old guild name? The only time a guild name is changed is if someone reported it.

I’m the guild master of the guild. And I have never received an email about it.

The guild name was ❮Same Old Bull❯, and was started back in 2012. But now it seems that someone else have snatched up the name.

That’s very odd … was the guild active? I suggest you (the guild master) contact Support https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/product/wow/197/588/channels and see what the problem was and if you can get it back.

Hello Violental,

As far as I can see you have opened a ticket and received already an answer explaining the reasoning behind.

Kind regards
