This is old news but it’s been bothering me ever since I started playing my forsaken lock more. Many races received a whole lot of customisation options in the last big related update to how we change the look of our characters- however forsaken were given a paltry few compared to races that got everything from eyebrow options to makeup and scars.
A few skin tones, eye colours and a handful of hair mods seem like such a huge missed opportunity when it comes to literal rotten, gross, bony zombies. There could have been so many decay options beyond the ability to finally hide the janky looking protruding bones and torn robes (that were too symmetrical and ruined tmog). Many of the facial feature options are still kind of hard to make out and we didn’t get any new ones. My personal Wishlist would have been:
- more facial options like bony nose cavities and fleshier or more skeletal options
-Facial hair! Who wouldn’t love a zombie with a wizard beard?
-properly decayed eye sockets and the ability to have one or both
-variety of decay patches, protruding maggots, plague boils, scars
-properly glowing eyes similar to DK
-visible brains!
-options for skeletal hands or feet, and the option for one or both of each
-More hair options, we got some great ones with some cool pop culture references but they were so few - Upright poses. I do like the hunched over look but it messes with a lot of tmog and I think its just good to have the choice as we saw with orcs.
I have always thought that the art team do an amazing job, but it seems like they just were not given equal time on each race. For me this particular update felt like it was rushed through and over a year on still feels very incomplete for many races. ‘Leave them wanting more’ has always been a strong ethos in wow but it would be nice to see something done to completion in some instances.
