Why even some allied races are getting updates/bufffs to their racials and undead is not while their racials are very outdated, almost never used in pve content and at the bottom in dps sims ?
because racials shouldn’t matter, nor should playing by dps sims be a main driving factor in a game.
The only Undead Racial I’d personally like to see changed is the Touch of the Grave.
Instead of it being a Random Proc, I’d prefer to see it become an active ability, that just adds shadow damage and life steal to the next ability used.
Because currently, it procs at the worst times. When I unequip my weapon and just need to slightly tap a mob to avoid killing it and… BLAM!
Our other Racials are awesome. Underwater Breathing, Will of the Forsaken, Cannibalize <3
one day maybe they will make sure all the racials only add flavor, and only in pve instead of pvp content as well. i like the immersion of it, but clearly some people overthink it to the point of paying race switch to minmax. you cannot reason with this people, only de-power all the racials to flavor so they can finally rest in peace and do what the rest of us do - playing what you like.
How does that affect you though
It is not overthinking. How can you not reason some off the best guilds in the world, switching to mechagnome for a boss to make it easier ? You may start with " mate those are %0.1 of the players why would u care ? ". Well no, it is just an example and when it comes to end game content some races have way more advantages than the others. On the other hand, if you are only going for Curve and KSM then they matter less.
Which is precisely the core reason of the problem. We have minmaxed pretty much everything already. Classes, specs, talents,trinkets,stats and etc.
At least people should be able to play a race they want not “need to take X because it sims 0.01% more on Y content”.
