What’s the deal with the forsaken names? I’ve noticed some of them have really messed up names like Vomit but then again I see some going with Bob. Is this naming convention ever explained within the lore? Thinking about jumping into RP on my undead here again but not sure what to change the name to seeing as his name is already taken on AD. 
Maybe they take a new name, as their whole existance changed.
It is said that most forsaken create their new name, so to not remind them their past life. Some keep their old ones and some have their brain damaged, which results in a weird funny names.

So possible explanation is they either choose their new name (mostly part of human body, etc just to be a bit more black metal!) or remain their current one which explants names like Bob.

Some take new names (Nathanos Blightcaller from Nathanos Marris) and others do not (Chadwick Paxton and his squad all have ‘normal’ names).
Do whatever you like.

You can use your name your character had in life it have it changed in undeath. Many, many forsaken have their names changed in their new state as they wish not to be reminded of their past life.
I took the road of my undead keeping her name she had in life; Sena Marlight.
It depends what you want for your character.
