If you get flagged and your post get’s deleted it’s because it was against the rules somehow. If you are flagged wrongly mods unflag your post.

I had to literally search around to see where I did something wrong.
They gave a reason, but neglected to say where.

Yeah, sometimes they email you. Last time I think they goofed, because they emailed me actually including the name of the person who had flagged me…Awkward…(However I ain’t bothered, as it was only one day and it seems that said person is enjoying a Forum vacation of their own now).
I always challenge it. Even if it is just for a day and I know the ticket won’t be responded to before the suspension ends. Because I am a firm believer in Civil Disobedience as a way to make a point. The system is massively flawed, and the only way to make sure they know that is to question it every time, (Which to be fair, we should be doing anyway) I mean you even have a Right of Appeal to actual Criminal trials!
I generally just go “Right, I know my post contained no profanity, I was not making threats, I -was- being a bit sarcastic. Can you show me where Sarcasm is against the CoC when responding to someone who -is- swearing at you, and yet seems to have gone unpunished?”

It can happen. If you ask them to review it, sometimes a Mod will go “Yeah, that was a tad overzealous, you’re back in now”.
So it isn’t some monolithic conspiracy, I think it is just a bit of a rubbish system for handling these things.
Although I totally deserved my last one dayer, no swearing, no direct insults, but yeah, I went up to 11 on the Sarcasm meter…

You can contact support for clarification, it’s the same as appealling a ticket, if it’s unclear what the offending post is. It was my understanding from others that this is included in the email though.

Yea I know, I made a ticket about it. But I found the problematic post shortly afterwards so I cancelled it. They apparently masked an entire word without deleting the comming itself, which triggered the suspension.
It didn’t seem to be flagged by the community tho, just a staff member coming across it…interpreting a word different from how I meant it. Ah well, I understand that it could be seen as a violation.
It’s just…the amount of details given was rediculously minimal. Even busier forums which run on volunteers give more detailed feedback. Ah well…

There was a stage when the emails didn’t seem to be going to some or they were being caught by their email filters. I do think they could improve on the notifcation/email front for sure.

This is wishful thinking. If the mods only removed the posts that was violating the written rules AKA CoC, there’s wouldn’t be this many complaints around about deleted legitimate posts.
Not sure…I have had many posts flagged and only 1 deleted. Then again I’m a good girl!

On the contrary, since the subjective opinion of ‘legitimate’, is heavily weighted by the poster in their own favour… the number would almost certainly remain approx the same.
The alternative is to expand the Rules to something more akin to ‘War and Peace’… in an effort to cover most eventualities Mods will encounter, with an authority to back their judgment.
I think the current system works fairly well, while I agree with those who would like precise detail of the post and content concerned each time… it would be helpful, particularly for Forum users who post quite a lot.

Its the PVP forums i do not go there so no idea sorry .
Im glad Im not the only one who randomly has his posts flagged and removed while the posts are 100% neutral, not against any rules or immoral.
