I believe that the state of the game has allowed people to create almost all classes and depending on the patch and their skill, to own woth it. Unfortunately, every patch feels like dota 2 patches where fotm heroes are more noticeable as there are more casted games with analyzers explaining what has been overbuffed and played the most. I think i speak for the rest of the pvp community in wow. BLIZZARD dont follow the same strategy use your statistics, see what classes are played the most, doing more dmg, taking more dmg, dying the most etc and fix each in a matter of 1 or 2 weeks. Its very very frustrating to not be able to play your favourite class cause others have been overbuffed.
They just need to look at the classes/specs with the highest win rate at the top 1% of 3v3 and tune accordingly.
no they dont, instead of throwing stuff at the wall and seing what sticks, they need to
- rework certain classes
- listen to feeback on ptr
- remove bias towards certain classes
- homogenise PvP and Crowd control
and more importantly don’t do obvious broken changes like Precog+15% haste for all casters
ive seen better changes provided by the average forum goer, than the drivel they produce to keep it " fresh"
Just give MoP class design back, problem solved.
Preog without the haste would be enough.
Blizzard needs to reduce the amount of gap closers, but also reduce the amount instant abilities from casters.(included procs)
No instant ability should hit as hard as an casted ability.
Instructions unclear: removing spellwarding and buffing dh damage by another 10%
Blizzard knows what they are doing buffing classes and I understand why they are doing it.
The problem is that blizzard overbuff fotm classes to the point it’s annoying and feels miserable for players that don’t want to jump on the bandwagon.
Every class and spec should have their time in the spotlight unless it’s a tank but to a more limited state.
Never understand the obsession with gap closer talk. Do you guys only care about duels or something? A melee has been able to sit on target since tbc with the help of dispels and the only thing that makes them go away is counterpressure.
The average healer and wizard right now has 1-2 teleports, 1-2 knocks, 1-2 roots, 1-2 freedoms, 1-2 instant ccs, 1-2 defensives usable while stunned and 1-2 bubbles.
The amount of gap closers does nothing to the above reality when an enh can 100-0 you from 30 yards while an assa rogue can sit on you for a week and not move your hp bar.
Focus on damage not mobility.
Oh the reduce of gap closers is for slowing down the game. That’s why also reduce the amount of instant spells from caster.
Damage needs a reduce for all classes around 10-15%.
It would be an absolutely gargantuan task to go through and rebalance every spec with less gap closers in mind. Just using arms vs frost mage with shimmer as an example - 2 charges and leap vs 2 blinks, nova and blastwave. Remove a charge and now the mage is unreachable.
Then you add in priest grip, lock gate, random blizzard roots and so on.
You’d then need to rebalance mage defensives so they can die in the 3 second window every minute the warrior reaches them, or giga buff the war’s damage.
We tried this already in cata and it resulted in warriors 3 hitting people but being kited most of the game.
Just lower damage. Its real simple. Wizards above 1500 can come with melee hitting them just fine. This isnt vanilla.
I know that this would be best impossible for blizzard. But if you want less instants, melee needs to lose gap closer or micro cc.
Precognition could also be nerfed, never understand why we also get 15% haste. The best thing about Precog is the cc immunity. You get a reward for bating the kick.
But true damage is way to high and not everyone has tier set bonus completed.
