Just bought a new laptop Lenovo 5 R7 8845HS / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / RTX 4060 running around a world everything is fine, but when i start any raid boss, FPS drops to like 15-35 ,everything is on low graphics? Was playing DF with old Acer 5 pc and didn’t had such a big FPS drops this TWW is something difference lol. Any ideas what I can do to get better FPS ? Using only few addons like wa bw and recount.
Did you make sure your CPU is running with full power?
No powersavings enabled, plugged into the wall?
Make sure they are updated.
Doesn’t really matter since most settings only hit the GPU and raids are CPU-limited.
those 16GB you have are that shared with gfx?
yes pc is plugged in with best performance power mode
im not sure 100% but it seems 16gb and 8gb gfx
Running WoW on a 4090, i9-14900KF and 64 GB of RAM.
Yet in raids I have significant FPS drops. Even with all addons disabled. It’s been a problem since Aberrus in DF. I even bought a new PC at that point to hopefully fix it but unfortunately it didn’t change much.
Now in Nerub-ar Palace it’s the same mess again. Especially on Rasha’nan when all the AoE abilities happen in the first few seconds it gets really bad and my FPS drops to 40-45.
I even tried putting my raid graphic settings all the way down to 2 or 3. Didn’t fix anything.
With a PC like mine I shouldn’t even have to be reducing graphic settings in the first place.
I shouldn’t even be dipping below say… 70-80 FPS.
I’ve done everything that gets suggested all the time… Re-install the game, clear cache/WTF folder, run without addons, update drivers, tone down the settings… All of it.
Nothing fixes this frustrating FPS problem.
I can only conclude this is on Blizzard’s end. And because it’s been a thing since 10.2, I doubt anything will be done about it.
