There is no such thing with this singlethreaded engine sadly.
Still, the problem you are showing in the video has been reported by many others playing the beta.
To me it looks like the same FPS drops caused by phasing in Valdrakken on live for example.
Add to that that obviously the beta will be even more unoptimized.
Not just you, I’m also having frame rate issues after the recent Windows update. Also reinstalled both Battlenet and WoW to no luck. Can’t figure out a fix either. Temps are all fine.
Whenever I move or try do anything, the fps drops and then catches up a second or so later. Game completely unplayable in this state.
The game isn’t single threaded It uses 4 cores with one that can be a limiting factor when you are in a mass combat / mass actor scenario.
That’s semantics, because you will always be limited by that one main thread… no matter how many others are doing “something”
Not really as it takes quite a lot of mobs to hit it nowadays. The game isn’t that bad…
I mean… grp content is the endgame. So you will be CPU-limited there
Add to that draw distance and lod settings, RT shadows, addons etc. and you get there really fast.
It’s not gonna get better, only worse, the more stuff they add or the more complex the meshes get.
The new main hub in TWW has even more stutters than Valdrakken.
That does not bold well, you would think they learned something from that.
I mean, i’m on a pretty high-end rig and it’s just so bad when flying over Valdrakken.
Now imagine how it is for 95% of the playerbase with rigs that get like 30 FPS there.
Oh and btw, before i forget, i logged onto the 11.0 PTR and the renderscale is still broken. Good job Blizz.
