Playing on double time warp with 30 fps in raid on 2k euro setup is so much fun… yeah right. so when are u fixing the game that we pay for ?
I’ve had no fps issues since the first week. Sounds like a personal issue.
if you never had high fps you don’t recognize the problem which everyone with high-end setups is having
Not really playing with 250 fps and dont see any problems, your problem can basicly be an addon that causes it, because i had that some time ago, so no it isnt the game its an addon probably.
My RL buddy I play with often had loading and FPS issues with a 3k setup. Yet me on my budget 1k 5 year old laptop setup has 0 issues. It feels super unfair
Think this sums it up, the OP is basically admonishing Blizzard, yet its something not of their doing. How can they fix something thar isnt a problem for all?
As mentioned earlier, it could be something as simple as an OOD addon, or something running in background on their PC.
Atm i have a PC costs around 1.3k euros and play fix to 120 fps you may want to check again
The FPS drops are from elvui/weakauras, disable them and problem solved. Blizzard tends to break (most likely intentionally so players can use the default things) them with every update they do on the Addon API so there’s that.
Uhm… high end setup here. No issues whatsoever.
Which graphics card is the game using? don’t assume it’s the right one, it could be using the CPU.
This is definitely a You problem.
I’m playing on an £800 Asus Laptop (i7-11800H; RTX3050Ti), settings on Ultra & I get about 40 fps when Bloodlust/timewarp is used in a raid.
So if you are only getting 30fps on a system that costs twice as much, I’d check your settings & addons.
The game has definetly gotten more demanding.
Might be time to upgrade your PC.
Yeah, somehow the dots and events didn’t overload our CPU 20 years ago but today they tick much…harder?
As for OP: most performance issues have been fixed and while I was getting massive stuttering at launch of DF on several fights, along with low FPS, that’s been fixed. (nowadays only aura mastery and divine toll cause the entire raid to freeze).
The possible remaining issues are a bad GPU driver or bad addons/weakauras.
The first thing you need to find out is whether your CPU or GPU gets overloaded by looking at the windows resource manager.
Most likely not a “you” problem. There’s a post on US forums thousands long with people having 4080s and very high end amd/intel cpus getting below 60 fps in raids and valdraken.
Seems to be some issue with intel/amd driver for certain cards. I was running fine first 4 weeks, suddenly after an intel update fps was horrible in raid. Rolled back drivers and it didn’t work.
Did swap from a 3600x to a 5800x3d and my fps has more then doubled in single core games. Yes I know wow multicores, but does it awefully, its still 1 maxed out core and partially utilising rest. Seems like cpus from 4 years ago+ are struggling for what ever reason.
My FPS was fine until yesterday. Downloaded the new GeForce driver today, and suddenly the FPS in WoW dropped a lot. It’s still fine in other games, but caps at 30 in WoW while until before the driver update it was over 100.
buy better pc or build it right (cost is not all) i have mid range setup and i dobt drop under 60 fps everywhere
Some spells do tank FPS.
For example there’s the effect with lightning in HoV. It won’t tank it really low except on low-end hardware, but it’ll definitely reduce your FPS substantially. My PC tanks from 160 to 50, my Mac mini (which I’ve taken a liking to due to it having no audible fan!) goes from 110 to 15.
On macOS there’s currently a massive memory leak. It’s using 9GB on my Mac mini - and then the Agent comes along and uses 4.5GB. This led to stutters as macOS was desperately trying to swap and free some RAM and using the slowest (but strongest) compression algorithms it had. And I know that’s unified RAM so it’s 9GB of RAM+VRAM, but still.
You honestly just can’t throw high-end hardware at WoW and expect it to run well anymore. It runs like junk no matter if your PC is fast or not.
Im having the issue as well and I have not been able to locate which addons might be causing it - if it is not the game itself that is half-poorly optimised.
If anyone has suggestions as to which addons they KNOW causes issues like this (especially when used together), that’d be helpful.
Otherwise; I’ve had FPS drops coming in since BFA, like Preach pointed out in a video back then - it feels like there’s too many marbles falling and causing it…
it might be related to your graphic settings. I was having freezes with 66-70 Fps options, now I have stable 100 with high/ultra settings and no more 2-3 second long random lags. experiment with them, make changes until you find the right one.
Its your setup or an addon wanna bet?
