FPS Freezing/Stuttering WoW WOTLK Classic

Good morning all,

I have been playing Classis Wrath and recently been experiencing very random fps freezes for a second or two, I do play with addons yes however I have tried disabling them but the problem is so inconsistent It may not happen during one play session.

The addons I am using include, NoawhUI (ElvUI) - Weakauras - Details - Plater - Attune

Can someone tell me if they too have or are experiencing this issue?

Specs below
AMD Ryzen 5800x
RTX 3070
32GB RAM
Installed on a 1TB SSD

The only thing I recently did was install the latest Windows 11 version 22h2, could this be the issue? I would rather not roll back if i can help it though.

Basically, does this happen to anyone else?

I seem to having the same issue but only when i am in combat. I also have a ryzen 5800x, did you recently download the latest chipset drivers?

Edit: I am also using windows 10 so i doubt it’s a windows problem

This has been happening to me too!
Tested on two computers without addons and problem persists.

I initially thought there was a problem with my computer, tried absolutely everything to fix this but it seems it’s an issue with the game itself. Doesn’t seem to affect everyone, so I guess some are just a bit unlucky.
Really frustrating as I spent a fortune on my computer, so having to deal with this random micro stuttering is incredibly annoying.

If you ever do find a fix, please let me know!

I have not installed the latest chipset drivers no, I will do though.

I’ll list the things i have tried.

Reinstalling chipset drivers.
Uninstall gpu drivers and use the ones windows install.
2 different versions of windows.
Removing my XMP profile on my ram.
Reset my BIOS to default.

I emulate the lag by visiting Dun Niffelem and fighting the ice giants their so i’m going to make a ticket and see if i can find some help from blizzard.

had very annoying stuttering in teldrassil while fighting in the cave where those stupid Gnarlpine Shamans are

performance is perfectly fine in retail WoW

still have massive stuttering, only in raids, i cant play,

Found out what is was for me!! I stoppoed raid logging in raids and the stuttering was gone!!

I have 200-300 fps everywhere in the game. But for for some reason that I can not figure out whenever I enter a 25 man raid I start to stutter. It’s like my fps is going from 300 down to 120 back up to 300 and so forth. Regardless of what I’m doing mind you. Just existing inside a 25 man raid breaks the game. I dont understand.

What he means is saving raid logs, during raids with this: https://www.wowhead.com/guide/how-to-use-warcraft-logs-6341 which several addons also do automatically for you if you have the options enabled.
