I have a new PC with the following specs:
My FPS in most of the Dragonflight zones are 130, but I have very low FPS in big battleground fights. My FPS are dropping down to 20-30. I’ve already set the graphic settings for battleground and raids down to 7 (from maximum 10) but it’s still that low.
My question is, is this some kind of mistake from my system or how high are your frames in these big fights?
It’s likely addons, while in some raids also Blizzard bugs/regressions. Mass combat is hard on single core and addons make it worse. Still, without addons/with good addons it should push solid FPS like 60+. So check which addon is tanking fps so hard.
If you have RT shadows on, disable them.
They hit the CPU hard for every shadow that’s getting drawn, like every player.
The game is already very CPU-limited (singlethreaded mostly).
Addons, especially nameplates with debuffs and auras and weakauras themselves are hard on the CPU.
Also there is no Ryzen 7850X3D, do you mean 7800X3D or 7950X3D?
It’s 7950X3D, sorry. I will try it without addons to compare it.
Raytracing is already disabled.
