So my gaming laptop is:
RAM: 32 GB
Graphic Card: RTX 3070 (Yes it is selected as primary graphic card in wow graphic options)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5k series v7
OS: Windows 10
All drivers are up to date.
And my average FPS is around 20 and game is barely playable.
In any other game I have all FPSes (i.e. Classic wow it is 144, CP2077 it is 100 etc).
What I need to do to play the game in stable 60 fps+?
Try unlocking the framerate and see what happens. For some reason I’ve noticed that locking my framerate can just cause any blizzard game to run at 20 frames :')
Well, something is wrong cause there’s no way wow runs like this. Is this maybe in Valdrakken? Or is it during gameplay?(Important cause Valdrakken runs terribly for most people sadly) Have you experimented with settings?
Any potential addons that can cause issues? Have you tried disabling/updating addons?
Can you open your task manager while playing the game and see if anything is taking up alot of your pc’s resources?
Can you check if your resolution & render scale aren’t too high for your specs? Can you try playing with dx12 as that usually boosts performance?
Can you try playing around with view distance, environmental detail and ground clutter and see if getting them lower will increase your frames? Same for Shadows and SSAO
You got ray tracing on? Try turning it off if so.
Also since it’s a laptop can you plug it in if you haven’t?
I’ve heard that VSync can cause issues, can you try disabling it if you have it on?
As it’s a laptop it’s also worth checking your windows settings like putting a higher power plan and making sure that wow is on the ‘‘high performance’’ list.
Probably obvious but also please check for driver updates.
I’m sorry, I’m just not sure what the issue can be with the information you’ve given
