FPS with 8.1 Multithreading support

Hello! I have an I5-9600k @ 5 ghz, an RX Vega 56 (also overclocked) and 16 GB DDR 4 @ 3200 mhz running at setting 10. Depending on where I am like in Nazmir I still find my FPS dropping below 60 sometimes. Is this still WoW’s engine at work forcing you to tweak the settings?

Edit: Should mention that Antialiasing is also at MSAA 8x. Turned it down to 2x and I believe this is what is dropping the frames so badly.

Yes it’s normal even after the new multithreading improvements you will still be CPU bound in all of the big towns and anywhere where there are a lot of players.

if you want to check to see if it is working properly you need to be running dx12 and here’s the console command to enable it /console gxMTDisable 0
and to disable it /console gxMTDisable 1

Thanks for the reply. I figured even with the 8.1 MT improvements that the engine is still to blame for a machine like mine not being able to maintain 60 FPS in every situation.
