To be fair Blizzard is trying hard to manage the chaos from the launch. I think they should atleast receive some credit now as they give the choice to players to actually transfer together from different spread out servers to one they can all play together on.
I aswell fall into this category where I have friends spread out on Golemagg, Firemaw and Mograine because of the launch chaos and lack of coordination internally for us. Now I have the opportunity to transfer all of us to the same server. But of course I worry about the population and general health of the targeted free migration servers.
I was thinking about Bloodfang (alliance) for all of us, it looks decent according to WoWpop website. While I think the best choice for us is to transfer regardless of health just to get to play together, I wanna pick a server with some chance of a good future. Anyone that transfered to Bloodfang, Dragonfang, Earthshaker or Judgement who can tell me about the general population and how difficult it is to get groups to dungeons during the leveling span and how is the lvl 60 population?

Me and my pal just transferred to Earthshaker from Gehennas.
For the past week I had level 1 char on Earth and was checking prime time /who and global chats activity. Its lot less populated (approx 8-10 times less), yes, but not dead at all. We are leveling now in Hillsbrad, and smth like hour ago there were 25 players of Ā±our level in the zone that makes it feel alive without struggling with kill/loot quests.
Our decision to finally transfer was caused by past 2 evenings - one of us gets random DC and hello 2+ hours queue.
Idk for group finding, we play tank+heal and today evening we wanna group for SM, dont think that we can expect any issues with this.

We transfered 2 days ago from stonespine to bloodfang. Was a good decesion! Medium server, and good population at evenings, im 46 and find groups for questing and dungeons vert fast, yesterday my guild killed ragnaros, was a realm first. Also alliance btw

Iām also under the impression that the servers arenāt doing so bad as some people expresses. They should certainly be healthy enough when layering gets removed. Who knows, maybe they will be great servers and the huge day 1 servers will struggle with higher and higher queues as layers get removed.
Iām trying to coordinate this with my friends and they seem very positive to the idea. Hopefully Iāll get us transferred tonight!

My community of friends finally have a chance to end up on the same server. Thank you! However, we will not be able to synchronize until monday evening and since you have not released an enddate yet. Pleeeeease dont close transfers tomorrow!
Please do something for Dragonfang, merge it or offer free transfer. Only server thatĀ“s still low. Really hard to form groups for dungeons.
Please please please allow us to transfer to any PvE realm. To any of the existing PvE realms or just create a realm called āSuckervilleā or whatever, i personally dont mind but LET US OUT OF HERE! IT WAS A MISTAKE IM SORRY JUST SAVE US PLEASE!
Bloodfang seems like the safest bet, when transferring from high pop server. It was doing OK even before they opened transfers.
Earthshaker has way more 50-60 than bloodfang that has mostly low lvl players so depend on what level you are
Blizzard you have two low servers, judgement & dragonfang. Merge them, it aint that hardā¦

After long consideration, me and my guild (about 15 people) semi-hardcore guys most looking for 20man content and some world-pvp maybe pug MC/ony. We decided to migrate from Gehennas and were torn between Bloodfang and Earthshaker and it ended up being Earthshaker (Horde). was chatting alot with people in General chat and was watching #nr of items in AH and how many people were doing instances in the levels above 40 and almost everything was in favor of Earthshaker. We are really happy with the move.

I moved from Stonespine and really i regret it both servers (Stonespine, and the one i moved to) says Medium in the afternoonā¦ but really there is a world to differenceā¦ I wish i could go back and not do i!
I moved to Bloodfang recently, its perfect! Almost no horde above level 40, nice and quiet! Magnificent!
Dragonfang is absolutely dead. I moved from Stonespine to Dragonfang 4 days ago and it took an hour at 6pm to find 1 DPS for Sunken Temple, and i couldnāt find one so I gave up and iām currently typing this message whilst crying into an indoor plant. Blizz, youāve got to sort this out and merge it with another server, 6 of us moved over and itās dead AF.

Donāt be fooled by any replies telling you to come to their servers, itās not worth it, really, just donāt. The servers open for transfer are dead, utterly and completely dead servers. There will possibly be one big guild who has enough to raid MC/Rag but thatās it, little or nothing else and none of the servers will have any sort of economy, nothing will sell and thereās nothing to buy. Itās a complete con. Stay where you are and put up with the queues (if any still) because moving to a server with barely anyone on it is really not worth it at all.
