Come on over and take a look, our community is small but it is friendly and welcoming.
Excellent slow gamer destination.
Low pop is a vibe, its not for everyone (obviously) but it is for some, try it out.
No GDKPs, boosts or economy worrying behaviour.
Hydraxian Waterlords EU RP Realm
Wotlk Classic (Not era)
Free Character Transfers TO this realm are now open.
Blizzard have stated we are staying open, so come put your feet up over here.
takes the neatly rolled poster from Niamh, unrolls it carefully and pins it to the wall
As already mentioned - Hydraxian is a small realm currently. But if you want to give it a try, you can also send an alt and keep your main on a more croweded realm.
We´ll welcome everyone who wants to join us, be it full time or part time
And as Laryanna stated:
The FCT TOWARDS Hydraxian Waterlords is a clear sign, that this realm is going to stay.
It´s another, clear commitment to this realm (and a very clear sign, that they listen and care about the communities in WoW )
If you are currently playing on one of the other (fresh) low pop realms - i, personally, don´t expect that these realms are going to survive Wrath.
Hydraxian will.
Even if you are currently happy on your currently realm, keep in mind there is a place you´ll always be able to move to, to keep the community aspect alive, which is not there (or not as it is on lower pop realms) on one of the big realms.
But still from Seasonal to Era we can go to only Pyrewood, Kingsfall or Firemaw. Why not to HW. Many go to Era to play HC. Now cannot join HC community on HW. Is stupid, Blizz!
While I would be extremely skeptical of any movement to ârevitalizeâ any old dead realm or an ill-fated âfreshâ attempt, RP communities are something else entirely and I would encourage anyone who is even slightly interested in trying HW to do so. See, unlike other communities, RP ones know exactly why they are there and that they wonât find it anywhere else, and thus their longevity is all but guaranteed.
I will personally not touch any alts untill we get a cross-realm RDF, but that aside, if there ever was a place where I would be tempted to play an alt an old-fashioned way, it would be right now on Hydraxian Waterlords.
If you do go there, please be respectful of the RP community, they are nice, few and far between.
There is no cooldown on free migration, you can go to any of the realms you mentioned and from there to HW. Or are you talking about migrating to Era HW? This is Wrath forumâŚ
Materials are expensive or cheap here, depends if there is any at all. you can charge what you want for your time.
On low pop you trade âconvenienceâ from a well-stocked AH to instead lower competition in your desired market so that you actually have a foothold to sell things as a âone offâ seller, which most are.
Iâve also been heavily invested in our economy and have moved well over a million gold through the AH since classic release.
I like that it was at least easy for you to make your decision.
Moving to Hydraxian Waterlords RP EU Wotlk realm while its currently free transfer from any EU realm is an easy decision, you will or you wonât like it.
You raise a good point, the ideal mindset for transferring here is that:
You want gathering professions to have good reward for its time investment.
You donât mind reposting items until they sell.
You feel good acquiring materials for yourself and friends/guild members.
I´m considering to do the Warlock quest line with my Warlock on Hydraxian Waterlords.
The Materials are, even on high pop ralms (Alliance Firemaw) or full realms (Gehennas, Horde) either not available or really overpriced.
On smaller pop realms, if someone looks for materials like this, often the community and guilds check, if they can help out. For free, or in return of something else, or more reasonable prices.
Not EVERY time, but often.
Of course, one need to be part of the community and want to interact with the community.
It´s not for everyone, and that´s fine.
But there are player looking for this kind of community and playing the game and Hydraxian Waterlords is, in Wrath, the place in EU which will stay.
The AH might not be as filled as on higher population realms, but it´s not always a problem.
(Beside that - the more people come, the more filled the AH will be again )
So much this. A lot of trade or finding materials looking at enchanting rods is rather found via the trade section in discord than the AH. But it is always found. It may mean doing more for the stuff you need than just scanning the AH, but on the other hand you have to talk to people (which is good in my opinion) and might remember those who helped you for sweet enchants in return or something like that itâs help and be helped.
A full and cheap supermarket (AH) with huge offer is nice, but itâs nicer to walk to your neighbour and get some fresh eggs right from his little chicken farm and a little chit-chat on top. This is what usually takes place on HWL.
Want this? Want to try this? Get your egg basket and move up to our front porch.
It looks like itâs my chance to rescue my Alliance toon from Mograine. But how much RP do I need? Do I need a backstory, never talk out of character?
As much or few as you want We are fairly low pop still and have chars from âzero RP but enjoying the atmosphere and behaving nicelyâ to âI know what my character had for breakfast the morning Thrall fled from Hillsbrad.â - Just play as is convenient for you. More is always possible, and there are people here reaching out their hand if you need some help with the Lore or roleplay in general (or other things you might need help).
Have backstory yes (can be short), and Whisper Out of character - or groupchat if agreed. And âreal nameâ Then all fine according to me at least. And of course not disturb RP events
